    Have always loved Netflix and have tried every other streaming service on the market; they aren’t as good! However, the new update now mimics the same playing layout as Amazon Prime, lack of originality! Also, advertisement banners keep playing whilst watching episodes/films. It’s so frustrating! Even turning off the adverts sound doesn’t help, it still randomly starts playing. Please sort this out as it’s ruining my watching experience. Would also add I think Netflix is getting expensive for what’s on offer, in the UK at least.

    Hardly usable app, we’re at version 10.x, and the download function is still flimsy and full of bugs. Activate subtitles? You may be rewarded with « could lot play title », and no other option than to delete the now unusable downloaded title. Often there are cryptic error codes, and Netflix would not attempt at giving a plausible explanation as to their meaning, let alone solve them (« check your connection », well DUH). Some titles are limited in the number of times you download them (???), but the app doesn’t care if the download completed or not, or crashed. Yay for burning download counts. Other than that, for some reason the app won’t display film summaries anymore, so I don’t know what a movie is about. The app doesn’t help you keep track of what you’ve watched, so it’s difficult after a while to remember all you’ve seen. I wonder what the iOS app team is doing all day but it should now be a given to have, like, a reliable downloader after 10 major revisions of the app. Mobile connections are unreliable by design, we shouldn’t be tethered to our WiFi hotspot while the episodes are downloading... ugh. Not withstanding that a « successful » download can go bad for no reason.
  • No programme descriptions following the iPad update

    Removing the film/programme descriptions in the latest iPad update is a negative step. There is not enough detail in a genre tag to make a decision on whether or not to watch something. Please provide a bug release update ASAP and reinstate the film/programme descriptions!

    How am I supposed to choose a movie without a description? Descriptions have gone and the only hint you have to choose a movie is a picture.

    They have some great tv shows and “probably” some decent movies, the problem is, you can’t list movies only which is ridiculous. It’s quicker and more effective to use Amazon prime or Now. Sort it out Netflix!

    What’s the point if we can’t rewind or fast forward anymore?? The playback button was so helpful. And also, why aren’t there any descriptions? Really disappointed with the new update!

    Just downloaded the app but I can’t watch anything because it keeps saying that there is a ‘network error’ and won’t load anything. Please fix.

    The app was great, but I don’t like these new tags instead of a descriptive paragraph for each production. Like it’s all good knowing a film is sci-fi, but i still need a little bit of the plot to know if interested. It’s saves me from having to waste time watching 10 mins to decide if it’s worth watching or not...
