Wear OS by Google - Smartwatch App Reviews

  • Nice app

    By Jws5804
No issues, any “connectivity” issues I think are the watch not the app. My watch and app work fine I came from a Fitbit so this is very different. Took a while to get used to it. Only thing I don’t like is that You have to leave the app open, as soon as you close it you lose connection from your watch to your phone. Maybe that’s a apple thing idk
  • Ever since Wear OS, boo!

    By Please reply Fossil
Got this Q Founder a few years ago When they had the “Fossil” app. EVER since they went to the Wear OS app. The watch has gone down hill when paired with my IPhone. Won’t stay connected. Won’t auto connect like it used to. Rarely get notifications or calls on my watch. Fossil let me down after selling out to Wear OS. I get won’t connect. Won’t this won’t that when trying to sync to google play to update my watch like it request. Maybe one day I can use this nice watch a a smart watch as I intended to when I got it as a Father’s Day present. Really wish Fossil Would reply to reviews like these. There are plenty out there.

Ok. The watch is great, but this app needs some love. First off, if you close it everything stops working, so you have to leave it open or else risk reconnecting (a very tedious process). other smart watches like Fitbit and garmin all manage to at least work when they’re closed. Ummm, google should model their app after pebbles or apples own Apple Watch app. You can make it work, but android wear watches are better served by an android phone.
  • No interaction with A HealthKit

How is it possible this app still doesn't support Apple Health. I would have thought this would have been a priority in version 1.
  • Fix

This update is horrible! I have the iPhone and with this new update my Movado watch that cost me $$$ is now just a paperweight. If you advertise on your products apple compatible than make sure it can do everything it needs to!.. you can’t text, connection is horrible, I’ll never buy a google application device again

I always like to leave the good and the bad for a balanced review. When I purchased this watch, I was very excited. I got mine from FOSSIL and I love all their watches, so when I saw they had a Smart Watch, I was beside myself. I got the watch at a great discounted price (since it was a new product). The watch charges perfectly fine. The battery lasted half of my day on the first charge, but after that, it’s good for the entire day! The look and feel of it is fantastic. It has a sleek design, feels smooth to the touch and the customizable watch faces is a great bonus (it’s like having a new watch every day!) I loved the watch...until the Bluetooth issues started to play out. I began to notice after a few days that the connectivity was always spotty and never fully connected. I would spend 15 minutes achieving a connection only to walk into the next room and have it disconnect, so the connection is easily broken and not very strong. I love to keep track of my fitness and when I saw there was a watch face designed for this, I couldn’t wait to use it! However, after a few days, the info would either partially display or not display at all. Disappointed again. The look and feel of the watch, with the customizable faces and even some of the apps are enjoyable, but the weak connectivity and constant Bluetooth hassle ruins the experience. If you want a hot watch with customizable faces and some games to pass the time, this is for you. If you want to receive updates, messages, make calls and have Bluetooth connectivity, I’d go with an Apple Watch.

Will not recognize swiping in two of the four directions. Now it wants to show me the new update every time I look at my phone!
  • This "app" doesn’t work

    By urr_qasdim
I have tried to connect to several watches, following instructions carefully, and connection NEVER happened❗️ It's an awful "app".
