OK, I love this game. Mostly because I love dragons *It’s an in-app purchases game, but it’s possible to enjoy the game with spending little or no money. *There are options to play ads for little in-game bonuses; it’s absolutely not necessary. There aren’t any unavoidable ads. *It’s a FarmVille type game: you play a little bit here and there. You’re not going to be playing it for hours at a time. *The dragons are soooo cute. *It’s about the journey, not the destination. Sure, there’s goals you can aim for, but it’s not something you ultimately win or lose. It’s something you grow. *Having game friends is nice so you can trade gems, but not essential. *The airships give you something to aim for other than just breeding more dragons (not that that isn’t fun by itself!) and there’s weekend challenges that give you extra in-game cash *It’s pretty neat to just watch the dragons enjoying their habitats, and you can tap on them in feeding mode to get them to do cute tricks. *There are some very mundane words that you’re not allowed to use in your dragons’ names even if you have the profanity filter off and aren’t connected to Facebook or Gamescape. I’m not sure what the reasoning is. *Overall I think this is a more enjoyable game than the original, in part because the dragons are cuter and in part because the airships and having fewer dragons overall gives the game more focus.
  • Cute but has issues

The designs for the dragons are great! They come in all sizes, colors, and have great looking 3D models with unique animations that add life to the virtual buddies you make. The game is pretty and graphically a huge improvement over the first installment. If you like collecting and are in no hurry, the game is recommended. My biggest complaint is that it is really sluggish to progress. It took me forever to start earning gold, even then I am constantly short on gold as I must feed my dragons to get more resources to gain gold. I recommend making your dragons adults as soon as you can and keep breeding. Send them gathering as soon as you can and keep building up supplies. If there were more wats to get red gems, I’d be ecstatic!
