  • Great idea, doesn’t always work

The premise is great, but the app locks up a lot for my kids and won’t let them pause their screen time allowance. They run out of time even though they didn’t use it. You can imagine how happy that makes them. I don’t have the ability to pause it for then and then end up having to negotiate with them about how much more more time to grant. I emailed support but got no response. Stopping all this discussion and negotiation over screen time was why I got then app. Interesting that all these problem started the day my free trial ended. Will suffer through this month and look for something else.
  • Sounds great if it would work

Upgraded to the premium. Went to install the utility app on my desktop and it won’t open. Keeps saying to install iTunes. But it is already on my desktop. So not sure why it won’t work. Will cancel my subscription if it’s not fixed soon.

I didn’t even finish the free trial before canceling my subscription & deleting the app. I signed up for premium & pretty much the only thing that halfway worked was the locking my son out of his phone, however, it only disabled games, not everything else. It also took away all of his app folders when I granted him access again & scattered all of his apps all over the background.

Downloaded and immediately subscribed for the Premium in order to be able to control access to apps. First of all, the install process is not as easy as they claim. With Premium access in order to control apps you need to install a Utility app on a desktop computer and then go through a bunch of steps involving backing and restoring the phone then installing the companion app. If your kids’ phone doesn’t have enough memory to accommodate the process you end up having to delete stuff off the phone. When blocking apps the order of apps on the phone’s screen gets re-arranged into alphabetical order, so you have to spend more time going in to the companion app to ensure the apps remain sorted the way you want. I tested the Block feature by “blocking until I say so”. The Companion app on my child’s phone thought it was blocking stuff but I was able to open every app, text to/from my child’s phone and surf on Safari with no problems. Even right now my daughter is actively on her phone but the location app is saying she her phone location hasn’t been updated since two days ago. I sent an email to support asking what exactly it means to “block” but haven’t received a response in two days.

I bought the premium and was happily using it even though there are a little glitches and inconvenience of UI etc. until today! My kid upgraded to a newer iPhone today and I tried to setup this with the new device. No matter how many times I followed the instruction, backup/restore, delete/reinstall management file, repeat etc etc. I can no longer use premium features. There is no instructions regarding how to setup when your child changes the device. So just no point to keep paying if I can’t use the features. When I purchased this I had a question back then and I sent an inquiry through their help, I got no response back. I don’t think there is any user support just like other reviews state. At this point I will look forward to iOS 12 that will supposedly have a good parental control feature. No more OurPact....
  • Poor setup, easily deleted off kids phone

You must download a utility from a website, have your child’s phone connected to computer via lightening cord and after all that, the utility doesn’t recognize that you have iTunes open and continually asks that you have iTunes installed.....even with iTunes installed. Long process to try to get it to work and after all that it’s super easy to delete off your child’s phone. Any tech savvy kid could figure it out. Don’t bother with this one. Waste of time.

I have finally given up on his app. My son discovered he can disable the app from his end whenever he wishes. He leaves the house and off it goes. I get a notification but there is nothing i can do with the app disabled on his end. When will developers of apps like these realize there has to be a parental password to disable the app on the child’s device? They obviously don’t have kids.
  • Never worked

I spent hours trying to get this installed because it was highly recommended by a friend. Tech support was responsive. After the 3rd or 4th email of instructions I gave up. They said they have had problems with backups and iTunes which is one of the steps needed.
