  • Money hungry developers

I get that they have to make money to run the app but, it's completely money driven. Leveling up takes FOREVER unless you have cash, and even then cash is way overpriced. Collecting items you need to expand anything is impossible, you will never find it in the global trade and if you do, chances are someone else will buy it before you do. Expanding the storage is the biggest rip off, only gives you 5 extra slots at a time and you have to collect like 30 stupid items to even expand, which takes up the majority of your freakin storage!!! So you can only save up for one thing at a time, which just takes you even longer to expand your city, storage, beach, whatever. absolutely ridiculous. I have quit playing a often as I used to but I still get on from time to time. New holiday update is impossible to reach, again, without having cash or speed up tokens. Could be a way better game if everything wasn't rigged up to be a scam.
  • Extreme frustration

[UPDATE] I've loved sim city since the 90's. My fav game. The recent war upgrade, it was time to say goodbye. I deleted app from my devices. Yes I was a paying customer. The app version was always frustrating but when the added the club feature, I began to play more. Enjoyed the interaction and helping each other build each other cities. Although they say war is optional it is not. Mayor contest filled with war task and your city can be destroyed even if you don't indulge in war violence. Omega city is almost impossible to build without spending real cash. While I don't mind spending some cash, the game has gone beyond ridiculous in sim cash pricing for decorations and items. Too bad... this game had so much potential. Each upgrade gets worse and global hq rarely has needed items and there is 30 sec wait for refresh. Good-bye. ============================================ Would love to give 5 stars after playing for months it's lucky it got 3. Why does the cargo, shipments, building & disaster repairs all request the same items? Some of these can take most of the day to produce just one or two items as they take 6 to 8 hours to manufacture. What's worse, even though you have money, items aren't available on the global trade or sold out while waiting to get to the town selling it. The 30 second refresh is a pain, because if something is not there, I need to wait to hit the refresh button. The ability to add more stores & factories would greatly relieve this problem since there is a big emphasis on manufacturing and trading.

  • It’s ok

The developers make this game near impossible to get ahead in. When you want to buy sims cash or get more keys the amount you have to spend in real money isn’t equivalent at all to what you receive in the game. I kind of feel like they STEAL money from people. Make a way people can earn more sims cash instead of spending $6 for 200 sims cash. RIPOFF
  • Okay

It’s fun but if you want to continue to progress you have to spend money otherwise you have to wait to get enough taxes which takes forever.
  • Fun at first,Sewage problems ruin the whole game.

The game is great! The only problem is,THE SEWAGE.Please remove the sewage,I do everything I can to remove all sewage problems, and the sims still complain! Its too frustrating. Please remove sewage.

  • My 3rd Review and the stars keep getting less

    By OH_the_canes
The graphics and design are great, however this is where the bad over takes the good. Unfortunately EA have designed a game that implicitly requires you to constantly dig into your pocket and pay a lot of money. Unless you are prepared to play this game over a number of years, do not get fooled by the hype. It is designed to force you into spending BIG BIG BIG money if you want to move quicker. For example, if you need something from the market to complete something, astonishingly you can NEVER FIND IT until (shock horror) you finally buy it using money you have to buy from the App Store. If you need NEO items to increase your storage amount, for some amazing reason you will NEVER be able to get one or find one in the market place until (SURPRISE SURPRISE) you spend your money in the App Store to get more money to buy one. Come on guys, give me a break. You have lost me and I will yell loud to all that this game is nothing more then a gigantic rip off and simply not worth it. Finally, they bring out this wonderful new holiday game which offers you all sort of rewards. You’re spend the time to get credits with the opportunity to get expansion tools, or other well worthwhile credits.......... SHOCK HORROR.... every time you get up to 2000 points and spin the wheel you get some stupid park DON’T GET SUCKED IN. THESE GUYS ARE RIPPING YOU OFF

So this isn’t the sim city you grew up with. There are a lot of shortfalls with design of this game. To name a few: - trade center should be live - expansion items are painstakingly annoying to try to find - city storage system is extremely annoying - there are several forms of currency to buy different items. Simoleons, SimCash and NeoSimoleons. - two different storage systems (city storage and omega storage) - several different types of products that you must obtain (Paris items, London Items, Tokyo items, omega items, normal items that you can actually build, and items you need to expand the storage unit and expand your city limits). - the app kills my battery The premise of this game is to build and sell and buy. Hence build it. But EA should have just left the sim city portion of the title right off because it’s not really sim city anymore.
