  • Incredibly slow recently

    By KriWill
After opening the app it has spun for 60 seconds and my calendar/events will not load. Some update that was done about a month ago has caused this; used to be flawless. Please fix Google; I organize my life using the calendar and would rather not switch to another inferior platform.
  • It won’t let me swipe to the right to see my side info

I cant change who’s calendars I can and cannot see in my phone! This is a serious problem when I’m trying to plan things with my friends because we cant see each other’s calendars. It is really annoying
  • Works for the most part, just needs a design fix.

This app works 80% of the time for me. I don’t have any of the “laggy, unresponsive” issues like others have. A design flaw (in my opinion) is that the app title on the home screen should just say Calendar, instead of Google Calendar. I’m not sure if it’s because of a copyright issue or anything, but we all know what your calendar is because of the logo. For me, it says “Google Calend...” and it bugs me. Other then that, works okay for me.

I know you want to know what's wrong, so let's get to it. One time when I made a reminder, I looked back to my calendar, and a few days later, and somehow, there was 40 REMINDERS in that ONE DAY! How did this happen? I did not set that reminder to go off 40 times! I set it for the morning of every day! Google, if you are reading this, please fix this. I want to make reminders without issues. Cons out of the way, let's go on to pros. This app, despite all the bad experiences by other people, (which I was very surprised by) I have a good experience with this app. And, I don't know why I didn't think this in the first place, that Google has a website for this app. People are saying that there is more features on there. If there is, I'll check it out now. So, the interface is clean, there is a week, month, day, and schedule veiw, which is nice. And they have reminders. Good app, but if a issue takes a feature away, I will have to take away a star. Sincerely, - A Google user.
  • Nice but missing essentials

Love the app and the different views. Creating events can be cumbersome. Really missing option to delete one occurrence of a reoccurring event.
  • Don’t normally rate

I must say after much debating I decided to download this app after a friend said it was good for him. I did. After having it for about a year (no complaints from me) I did the update. Now after putting all my reminders and such in the calendar it’s ALL gone. So not happy.
  • Took an arrow to the knee...

Google Calendar USED to be a fantastic calendar app, but something went wrong in the last year and the team doesn’t seem interested in fixing it. On my iPhone X, the app is practically unusable. Add a new doesn’t show up. Move an shows it in the same spot as before. Accept or decline an invitation...still shows as if you haven’t responded. However, kill the app and restart it and most of things have actually been done. Seems as if the info is getting to the server, but then the mobile client doesn’t get or display the updated state. I would really love to have this app back again working like it did before. There are new things I would like as well, such as moving events to a different calendar, but honestly just getting back to functional again would be enough for now. Until then, I suggest exploring other calendar app options.

  • Make Google Calendar Great Again

    By dnatelson
I’ve been a fan of this app since the beginning and over the past few months it just refuses to operate well. It takes forever to load, make edits to existing events, or add new one with the confidence that they actually saved. Please, Google, make it great again. I really don’t want to use any other app for my calendar needs and I also can’t be frustrated everyday trying to use an app that should be making my life easier.
  • Very disappointed

I love the google suite for everything I use. That said, the calendar often takes forever to load, sometimes is multiple days off in terms of synching updates, and has in general just been quite frustrating. I love google. Hope the fix this one.
