  • Not the best app

After all these years google can’t figure out how to show the current date on the app icon instead of “31” which is sad. It would be helpful if Saturday and Sunday with a different color like standard calendar. This is not the best calendar app out there.

I could never understand why, when all things Apple replaced my Palm PDA, nobody could come close to the perfect calendar I had come to rely on - until this app. The color coding option is SO helpful, and it’s amazing (and a little weird) to see a photo of where I have to be when I enter the address of an appointment. My only request would be the ability to write a note for a particular date without making it a reminder, event, or goal. I don’t want to attach a time; I just want to make a note. That would make this a perfect app for me. (I haven’t had any of the problems that others have mentioned.)

This used to be a incredible sharing calendar app... But the app has become useless over the few months. The delay in saving and creating new events is ridiculous. It literally takes upwards of 4-5 minutes to load sometimes.

I've stuck with this app for several months, confident that Google would fix all the issues quickly. Well....they haven't. I can't trust that my info is accurate on this app. If I put something on my calendar on my laptop and then pull up the calendar on my phone, it doesn't sync properly. I have to close the app completely out and reopen it. Even then, it's a good 60 seconds or so before it updates the information for me. Because of this, I've double booked appointments a few times. Our team at work has used Google calendars for a while and we've been happy until recently. We are now looking into other options. I'm quite disappointed.
  • Pretty good app

I prefer this calendar compared to the calendar included with an apple device. Frustrating components: 1) Will not allow you to enter time to the exact minute. Must choose in an increment of five. 2) Defaults to an alert. Wish it defaulted to no alert & allow the user to select an alert if desired.
  • Freezes

I don’t know how many times I have to keep saying this but this app needs a major reboot. It use to work perfectly fine but now all it does is freeze. It doesn’t work on my iPhone 8 nor the iPad Air. Please fix this thing already!!! Please!

I absolutely loved using this app. I liked it much better than the Apple-installed Calendar app. However, I went back to the Apple Calendar app because I had not realized before how frequently I check my phone to see what the date is. The Apple Calendar app icon always shows the current date. The Google Calendar app icon just shows the same logo at all times. I missed being able to see the date immediately upon seeing my home screen so much that I returned to using the Apple Calendar despite otherwise loving the Google Calendar app.
