Arccos Caddie App Description

Powered by your data and Artificial Intelligence developed in partnership with Microsoft, the Arccos Caddie app provides any player, anywhere with access to Golf’s Smartest Caddie. It works with Arccos Smart Sensors (formerly branded Arccos 360), Arccos Smart Grips, and the Cobra Connect system that comes standard with most Cobra Golf drivers and irons sets. Arccos Caddie features include: · Automatic Shot Tracking – Experience hands-free data capture with no tagging or annoying disruptions · Smart Distance Club Averages – Know how far you really hit each club · Caddie Advice – Receive your best strategy for every shot on any hole in the world · Advanced Analytics – Use performance breakdowns to guide your practice and equipment choices · "Plays Like" Distances – Get rangefinder GPS distances adjusted for the impact of wind speed, wind direction and elevation Arccos Caddie insights are available for 40,000+ courses worldwide and are based on your personal performance data (unlocked after you play 5 rounds), as well as more than 100 million shots taken by the Arccos community worldwide. Arccos Caddie also offers a tournament mode that Conforms to the Rules of Golf (USGA Decision #2017-0754). To use Arccos Caddie, players simply pair their Arccos sensors one time, launch the app and place their iPhone in a front pocket. Data captured includes club usage, distances hit, club averages, driving accuracy, approach shot accuracy, greens in regulation, sand saves, putts and more. By accessing the Player Dashboard, Arccos users and their instructors can gain valuable insights via deep dives into stats, playing patterns and rich data comparison for every club, shot, hole and round. The Arccos Caddie system includes support for Apple Watch, featuring quick access to GPS distances, adding and removing putts, and helpful strategy recommendations - all without needing to take your iPhone out of your pocket. The Arccos Caddie app uses the iPhone's GPS at the highest level of accuracy while playing golf. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. • Awesome... when it works

    By dzfun
The amount of data collected is amazing and invaluable... when the app works. The last few releases have required completely removing the app to get it to work, frequent crashing, and it seems the backend infrastructure cannot keep up with the popularity of the app. Frequently courses “fail to load,” club data or rounds take excessively long to retrieve, or incorrect/partial data loads.
  • Great App

This is a super great app. It’s very easy it use and accurate. I am hoping that the developers make it possible to use the microphone and gps data from the apple watch to track shots to eliminate the need to keep the phone in the pocket all the time. I definitely see this app and the sensors improving my game.
  • Awesome app

So far app is great. Only downside is I can not listen to my music when app is running. Once they fix that it will be 5 stars.
  • Great Customer Service

Probably the best CS I’ve dealt with in years. I’ve had Arccos almost since its inception. My wife originally purchased it for me and I’ve since upgraded to the newest version. I’ve had very few issues but when I have, their customer service has been exceptional.
  • Data mining

Really unfortunate to see such a great product alter its app to keep mining data from users. Microphone access and location access “always” required to use. No clear outline of how to who your data is given to in their privacy policy.
  • Almost the right app

I’ve been using Arccos for a year and a half, and I’ve found it to be a great tool to help a new player (2 years) with a high handicap understand the analytics of my clubs. Club recommendations are great, and post game statistics are things I really like to monitor improvements and areas that need work. However, these things are only good for yourself. The things this app lacks are big let downs for playing with friends when compared to GolfShot Pro and 18 Birdies. There’s no group scoring. Social sharing is awkward and very limited. Sharing a scoreboard with family and friends requires basically screenshotting the front and back and texting them separately. I really enjoy playing with my friends and it’s always easier to run GolfShot or 18 Birdies side by side with Arccos which drains your battery. Or just use a pencil scorecard. Finally, although I like the Arccos handicap breakdown, I would still prefer Arccos use the slope scoring method to give me a true GHIN handicap and ultimately a NET and projected score like those other 2 apps do. Arccos says I have a handicap of 16, where everything else says I’m a 19???? I don’t understand why there’s such a difference.
  • Used to be a leader... starting to lag

I’ve been a fan from the start because of how innovative they were, but they’ve started to get behind. The competitors don’t even need to have a phone near by and offer lifetime tags now. I could do without the lifetime tags but the phone having to be near by is a killer. This might be my last season with them unless they make some changes. Update: app works well. However, the update that was “coming early in the spring,” to be able to use the system without your phone and just your Apple Watch, never actually came. That was disappointing.
  • Great when it works.

Needs to be updated to fit the xs max screen.
  • Apple Watch app could be better

    By JimZ A2
The distance view on the watch is nice but having to get my phone out to add penalty strokes, second attempts out of a bunker, and just make sure that the last shot was tracked is frustrating. If the watch app could tell me “last shot: 5i” and how many strokes I’ve taken would be fantastic. Adding a complication like some other golf GPS apps would be even better because tapping the complication would bring the app back up. Adding GPS from the watch’s position would let me leave my phone on the cart - with the older Bluetooth caps on the clubs.
  • Good idea/ great for distance

I really liked the app. I only have it on my driver but this season it hasn’t been working for some reason. It hasn’t been sensing my drives or my second hit. Im using the app for distances and that’s about it now.
