OpenSnow App Reviews

  • New UI is awful

    By Dvbowk
Bring back the old view that compares mountains across a five day span. It was a much better way to digest information quickly for comparison
  • No lifts, no forecasts

    By Get2DaChoppa
The forecasts are great, but they stop once the resorts close, which is when prime backcountry season is just getting hot. At least a weekly write-up or a storm-only forecast would be really useful. Some of us are still chasing foot-powered powder!!
  • Great app for finding powder!

    By Mjrm316
Not sure what else I’d want from this app. Snow stake cams, snow forecasts, and the chance to learn a little more about the weather are my favorite features. Thanks Joel, Sam, and team for helping me grab some great powder days over the last few seasons!

This ski weather app is a must have for anyone who has ever enjoyed floating on powder. Add your favorite mountains and ski pass and let the app do the work. Like you I’ve been relying on NOAA and Doppler but this here is great vision and execution guys! Suddenly the whole idea of taking a ski trip near or far away seems closer and easier to get the goods. Thanks for the info and inspiration.
  • Bring back the old format

    By robDinCB
Old format was perfect. The new one is not good at all. Love the forecasts and the service otherwise. *Update - I have grown used to the new format, and am in awe that Joel took the time to reply to my feedback.
  • Powder alerts issues

    By TKR Guy
This app sends incorrect powder alerts, plus there reports are not every day and sometimes not very extensive.
  • Open Snow is the best

    By Truckee Local
I live near Lake Tahoe, and Open Snow is simply the best weather app I have found. Brian’s forecasts are the most accurate and most detailed for our area. Indispensable, and an incredible bargain.
  • Bryan Nails It

    Worth every penny.
  • Great weather app for skiers

    By citizengpl
I love this app, particularly the explore features. Thanks for your great response to my review explaining that the 10 day full forecast shows snow level.
  • Bad update

    By SPED9987
Was a great app. The update messed it all up and is far less intuitive. Rare to see a site go backwards in terms of usability.
