  • Great game, crooked support staff

    By Maijstral
This is a great game until something goes wrong. They had a quest that was poorly programmed that led to an in-app purchase being worthless, but even though they don’t even deny it, they still refused to do anything about it. If you get a response from a CooperR, do yourself a favor and just close the ticket because he couldn’t care less.

Okay, so there are some things I like about this game. It reminds me of civilization, I like progressing through the eras, I think this has some cool features (Tavern). There are a LOT of things I do not like and I am on the fence about deleting it altogether. 1. What is the deal with fighting? I just got the Middle Ages and I still have Iron Age troops because it takes a long time to get the buildings needed to train troops. Then, it takes HOURS to make enough to fight troops, only to get your butt kicked even if the troops you are fighting against is lower level. It takes me half a day to fight one battle and it’s frustrating. It seems like perks don’t help, infiltrating doesn’t give a noticeable advantage, we just lose and lose and lose. Either shorten the training time, or make the fighting less stupid. Also, using forge points for everything but taking an hour per forge point? I appreciate the forge points for research and even for upgrading great buildings, but why for trading? Get rid of the forge points for trading, it’s unnecessary and makes it hard to move forward in the game. Lastly, expanding the city area. We have to pretty much buy gems to expand anything, but even if you spend real money on gems, you have to pay a crap ton of money for one expansion and then it gets worse. Now we are in a position that we have to delete everything to get something new and nothing is the same size/direction, so you have to play Tetris to build anything but you can’t store anything in your inventory, so you can’t just move things around. I made the mistake of wasting money on this game, thinking it would give me a leg up or help me, anything, but it absolutely didn’t. My troop package still got hammered by lower level fighters, and the gems were enough to do one thing and that’s it. Shame on me, I know, but love and learn and get a new game. Update: I read another review and realized that I forgot something. The daily challenges are absolutely ridiculous. They are almost completely unattainable. “Win 10 Battles” but it takes HOURS to build troops and chances are, you’re going to LOSE no matter how prepared you think you are, no matter your strategy, no matter your troops level. The daily challenges are a freaking joke.
  • Abusive prices

Too boring if you not buy tons of diamonds. Abusive prices After you waited during hours for resources, another gamer can come and steal them.

  • Best app game ever!

    By Barefoot2
The pace of the game slows down, but that's when it gets fun. Lots to do. Different angles for different people.
  • City building

    By Hfdigs
Great game but you need to make it easier to edit/build your cities it's very annoying to try and move and shift buildings around, city editing should be easier/more fluid
  • Split the time!

    By Restoring Data...
This is basically a point/click/waiting game. It does teach you patience, I think. But it is annoying you need to wait for a while. 8 hours is a long time just to produce coins. You can collect it only two times in just one day. That's not a lot. Two Days is just a frustration.😴. Some or Most people like me don't have that kind of time. I mean seriously. One day is still not a good option. 4 hours for one single good!?!? (Not including bonuses) Really?!? I mind just exploded. 🤯. For bonuses that will be worth it though. Although I think 30= 1 day. 20= 10-12. (Can't tell). The rest are fine for bonuses. Anyway. Training troops also take kinda forever. Just one troop! Wow... You should split the time in half for like all of the wait times in the game. (Building not included, I'm fine with the building) Aid takes forever. I'm impatient when it comes to aid. Like seriously. 24hrs?!?! Not really worth he wait. 8 hrs is a pretty good one for Aid. I agree on some of the wait times like the Town Hall. 24hr is good to me but I'm not not for other people. Forge of Empires wait time should be split in half or lower, which basically with all the current wait time you will feel like your not even playing the game. Other than that, FOE is a good game. Just split the wait time into two or lower. Thank you for reading my review on his game!
  • Where do I go from here?

    By Deby J
I love playing forge of empires but I do have some suggestions. Being able to interact with townspeople would be super! Also there needs to be more land easier to acquire and more available land from the beginning. But good game otherwise and an enjoyable addiction!🤾‍♀️
  • Beware the Iron Age

    By WaitingUne
I really love the concept of this game and the historical aspect of such, however once you reach the end of the Iron Age, your city is open to potential attack and your goods pillaged by other players. I work for a living, so when I log in and see the productions I have had no time to collect during the hours of my employment have been stolen and I have to start over, it makes me not want to play. I am aware of the “city protection” you can “purchase” but I’m not playing this game to be harassed by other people. There should at least be an option if you want to participate in PvP raids. Just sayin.
