It's free....and does what it claims....Do you really need more reasons to download it?
  • Status bar is darker than the navigation bar for no other reason to be different.

I like how I can communicate with my family in an easier way because they don’t have the same phone as me. And I can group chat with all my loved ones. I think Google hangouts is a good app for anyoneWho doesn’t have the same phone or iPad as one of their loved ones or friends, anybody you would like to talk to, this app is a great app to communicate with people. You can also group chat which is nice.😋

This app lets me talk to my friends from anywhere and at anytime. Now I can use it more since I changed schools and can’t really see my friends as often that’s why I love hangouts

This app is just bad. Multiple things constantly malfunction, such as calls constantly cutting out audio. This app needs some work.

First, when I try to text my grandma she never replies, CAUSE THE TEXT DOES NOT SEND! other than that it’s fine, so if your in a big time rush, DONT use it!

noticed that even after updating preferences across devices only the badge app icon seems to work consistently. banners and sounds are not always working. there's no function for the Apple Watch Series 2, as far as I could find. doesn't make sense why they don't have that with as long as Hangouts has been available. messages don't sync between devices using the same account on the same iCloud. I mainly use my iPhone to create/receive messages, however when I switch to my iPad Pro, the Hangouts app doesn't "catch up" and show the messages already exchanged. my partner's regular phone service is extremely poor at their new office - even iMessage won't work and they can't use the office WiFi on their iPhone - so using some kind of messaging system that is browser-based on their desk computer was a necessary aspect from their end. too bad I can't fully endorse Hangouts to solve this kind of scenario for others. devices and iOS: iPhone 8 Plus and iPad Pro 9.7, both on most current iOS at time of review.
