TrailLink - Bike Trails & Maps App Reviews

  • Horrible directions

    By Mariecicc
Whoever wrote the directions on how to get to these trailheads, as well as created the maps for the trails, is completely idiotic. We have been sent in circles on more than one occasion, and their ability to leave out crucial details is staggering. We biked 9 miles today before even reaching the actual trailhead because of their horrendous directions. I will be using another app-any other app-to find bike trails from now on.
  • Difficult to use

    By tzyuhw59234
Trying to search for trails outside of my area is difficult. Once I finally find trails I can’t actually see where it goes or where it is. Back to Google.
  • Not fully free

I am looking for a free app and that is what I thought I was getting. After I registered to use it which I didn’t like to do. I still had to pay for the map. Not happy about that.
  • Purchase maps!?!?!?

There’s plenty of apps just like this that cost nothing for trail maps AND the maps are public domain!!!! The parks have maps that you can see on google maps! Skip this one and get hiking project!
  • Great app for biking

    By RLFlynn
I enjoy hiking and biking in Michigan. This app helps me discover the many quality trails that used to be the path of the railroad. So helpful.

This app is better than most for bike trail exploration. I’m always looking to add to my riding
  • Maddening to use

    By fretmarker
On the surface this seems like a goldmine. In reality I find the search feature maddening to use. It won’t find trails in my region even if I enter the exact name in the search criteria. It will find them as nearby if I happen to be nearby. It also doesn’t seem to know the difference between Washington state and Washington DC even if I select Washington, USA from the drop down that appears in the search criteria. So as a planning tool I find it nearly useless.
  • Hidden gem:)

    By DD Dove
Absolutely loved this trail. I ended up running the trail while most ppl were biking. Both are easily done! The trail has crushed rocks but mainly level. The views are breathtaking and make you forget where you are with the turns and bends on the path. The trees provide great shade for most of it. I parked at the outlets and managed to get a 6.0 mile run (turned around about a half mile into the neighborhood the trail opens up into). Enjoy!!
