  • Great app, a few things though

    By absentical
Hopscotch is an amazing app. It’s educational and fun at the same time which is sometimes hard to achieve. However, there are a few problems/concerns that I have with the app. Okay, first of all, I go into the app and explore projects. I search for a project, but it says it can’t load and I should check my internet. I do check my internet and there’s not a problem. I brushed it off as a glitch, but the next day (today) it still didn’t work. I can search for Hopscotchers just fine, but for some reason, I can’t search projects. It may be just me, but if it’s not, I’d like to know how to fix it. Another concern is that I really miss the old Hopscotch. No subscriptions, easier to make projects and all around a better app. I miss that. I understand that the developers wanted to change it up a little but it’s honestly not that great. Overall, this app is decent. I definitely recommend this for people who love to code or just anyone looking for a fun app. Thank you!
  • Awesome!

    By hi_people!
I love Hopscotch! It is really easy to use. The best feeling is publishing a project you worked hard on. The template for coding is easy and smooth to use. The only thing I wish would change is to get more tutorials without paying.
  • Super dumb

    By P.S. Dont work
I got this game early release (I had just came out) I loved it it was awesome but now you need to pay for the app and it’s dumb. I actually liked the game but it has dumb pay-to-play. Never redownloading.
  • “Pay” to play

    By yeaaaaa boiiiiii
The actual app is great, but the subscription gets annoying. I don’t have it but allot of people do, and we non-payers get left out. I recommend the you can at least let the people see the pictures!
  • Its the best app ive ever used, but....

    By Really it's not
This is definitely not an issue for many people but for some reason i thought i should mention it, why can’t premium subscribers record/upload their own sound? I understand that a ton of people would most likely abuse the feature, but if you're willing enough to pay 90 dollars a year for adding your own images, and more lessons and literally nothing else, you definitely like hopscotch so you aren't gonna abuse this feature that often, and even if you do its not too hard to make a bot that reviews it, i can give a few examples of platforms that have something like this whether coding related or not. #1 your biggest competitor who may i mention is now on mobile aka scratch. #2 Roblox. #3 Scratch Jr. #4 Discord, you may wonder why this is one here, but if you threaten somebody and do anything like that, you’re getting banned off the app. Thats all i can think of right now im too lazy to do much more.

    I love it!
  • Great for coding! Or so it seems...

    By M_W_K
This environment is amazing for coding, with a useful, understandable blockly. The community helps one get some review on your inventions, and allows for others to test it. But like all other great things, it has one fatal weakness that messes everything up... It has the most horrible auto- and manual- SAVING! I can literally spend HOURS on the device coding something, only to lose it all when hopscotch relaunches when I leave the app to do something else. And, just now, when I spent quite a while coding, it lost it all when I pressed the home button, which was the only way to save it! It’s so annoying sometimes... and then, it was an inefficient back button, with the most loopholes in which your stuff is lost forever or not lost forever when it said it was lost forever, so yeah. It’s annoying. Update: nvrmind, this has been fixed and now I have never had a problem with failed saves. Thx for fixing it, hopscotch developers!

This is a great app for kids my age. I like the fact that you can create games, and show them to other people for them to play. BUY IT OR YOUR LIFE WILL BE MISERABLE
  • You have to give the free week with the option of establishing an yearly or monthly account.

    By Martin3d
You can’t offer a week for free but don’t allow access to your game unless we sign a yearly or monthly membership. You are pushing prospect customers away with such poor marketing skills. Review your process, you might just get more users.
  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
