  • Guthook... YES!

    By 8throtl
I sent my Enreach home. I was only using Guthook. So, that should say it all.
  • Latest update erased all comments

    By GilchristH
The most recent app update erased all public comments and it makes planning very difficult. Don’t invest in this app unless/until this bug is fixed.
  • Pct section hiker

I always use this app for my section hikes! Also used it for the TRT.
  • Deleted before first use

I downloaded the app with high expectations only to find out that they charge an arm and a leg for maps. There are plenty of free apps that allow me to plan a trip and I don’t rely on electronics for navigation anyway.
  • Great App for the Az Trail

    By Kadena Joe
I’ve used this for many miles on the trail and it works great. We used it to locate access roads for an emergency and it got us where we needed to go. Love it.
  • Crashing constantly now.

    By Thigh_Gap
Just in the last two days. I’ll boot it up and it shuts down immediately.
  • Get it fo sho

After thru hiking the Appalachian Trail with guthooks, I realized that I don’t ever wanna thru hike another trail without it. It gives you a sense of security, knowing absolutely where you are and if water is ahead. I loved being able to click on waypoints to read comments about everything! You can see what other real users have to say about camping/shelters, roads, hostels, where to eat, water sources etc. I can’t say enough about this app, except that I 100% stand behind it and you should too. -Taco ‘18
  • What's missing

    By gadget, 02 and 015
State lines and city access roads should be easily visible on the map and profile. I would like to be able to set the profile scale and have it remain until I change it. As it stands now the paper maps are a lot more useful and easier to use. The GPS works well. It’s a good app but room for improvement. For the trails that it covers it is the best available but still carry a paper map.
  • Amazing app

First app I’ve ever reviewed. If you want to do a section hike, thru hike or even a day hike. This is the app to get period.
  • If you only have one resource while hiking, use GUTHOOK!

    By JASH of The AT
Have been section hiking The AT for 27 years. This is the next evolution of AT resources. It is beyond fabulous to know your distance to a point in The AT. Can’t say enough good about the resource. Remember to bring your PAPER map too.
