EMT Pocket Prep App Reviews

  • Good Questions but super glitchy.

I like the app but, if I’m paying that much money for an app I expect it to work properly. This app freezes up and stops responding all the time. It’s very frustrating when I’m unable to study because the app keeps crashing. It has the same issues on several devices.

This app crashes way too much for having paid $25
  • Highly recommend

Very useful tool in studying and passing unit tests for class. Highly highly recommend this app to anyone who struggles with test anxiety or taking test in general. Gives explanations for correct answers directly from the text book so you can go back and reread!
  • Garbage

Very disappointed in this app. Yes i learned a lot but it does not go in depth enough nor is it even close to how the national registry was set up.
  • Just ok

The questions are good but it keeps repeating the same questions over and over. The app is really slow to load and respond. And one day out of nowhere, all of my progress and saved questions were just erased and I was back to the beginning. This was a setback in my studying as I had flagged ~ 200 questions I wanted to revisit, and didn’t want to spend time going through all the other ones I knew. I contacted the app developers and they said sorry, nothing they can do, it’s just a bug that they’re working through. Disappointing considering the high price of this app. I’d try a different one if I could do it over again
  • Take my advice. Trust me

I really never do reviews. Good ones nor do I indulge in bad ones. If I don’t like your product I’ll go straight to the source. But I had to leave a review on this one because of how great this is as one of the essential tools I used to pass my NREMT the first time. I have a twin sister. We both took the EMT Class together in North Carolina at NCOAE Another Amazing Tool!!! She’s an awesome test taker, And I being her polar opposite do ok on test. I usually have to rack my brain to come even close to her score, killing my self if the process lol. I used this app just about everyday. Some days I took quick 10 question test sometimes I beast up and do 85-100. I did the question of the day everyday. It just helps so much because you can see what you got wrong. You can see the answer and have the option to see the explaining and why that specific answer is right over the others. You can also pick the categories and build your exam in the areas you maybe struggling in. It gives an option of seeing answers as you go or waiting until the. Another awesome tool!!!! As i was getting closer to my exam I started to use the give me answers at the end option to make it more like the actual exam. My sister took hers and she being the “smart one” Passed with flying colors. She swears that if she didn’t have this tool, EMT pocket prep she wouldn’t have done so well. She used about 300-350 of the question bank. I used ALL of them... was really my intention but I’m glad I did. I also used the paper back Newton test Prep Guide 2018 A comprehensive no-fluff review.... those 3 things, my holy trinity lol I believe helped me pass. Good luck!!! Stay Humble! And study Hard !!!!!

The presentation, content and ease of use is all great, but the app is painstakingly terrible. Frequently crashing or freezing. You’ll get nearly through a practice exam and the app will go into neurogenic shock. Thankfully, if you own a computer, you can access your profile on an internet browser. Problems were nearly nonexistent. While utilizing the app to test your knowledge, be sure to read and understand the narratives. Those who claim the actual NREMT test is nearly identical, are full of it. Know your medical terminology!

Do not rely on this app! NR questions weren’t even close to similar of what the app gives. Luckily I studied the book hard and passed the exam
  • Very useful app for prospective EMT-B’s

Word of caution: don’t rely on this completely. Refer to local/state protocols DO NOT only study with this app but it won’t hurt you. It apparently updates itself after each NREMT exam so it must be reliable but like I said it shouldn’t be your only source. Good luck
