  • Ruminating? Depressed? Star Gaze!

Unfortunately, I’ve battled depression since my teens, but early this year, my counselor suggested the way my mind ruminates over real and perceived issues, I was making myself more and more depressed. The most troubling time for me was taking my dog for a long walk late at night. I thought about every bad thing that had happened and was likely to ever happen! Then I started walking with my Sky Guide app in hand. Rather than focusing on all the bad, I was able to stay in the moment and truly appreciate the beauty of the sky. The change for my life has been profound! My mind is clearer, and my mood is much happier and More content! I am convinced the Sky guide App has been a major contributor to the quality of my life, and it may have been a part of saving my life. Thank you...
  • Far and away the best app of its kind

I’ve had this app pretty much since it was released. It is far and away the best stargazing/sky reference app available. It’s full of features and detailed information on everything- be it planets, stars, satellites, rockets, space debris, galaxies, constellations, etc. I recommend it to people all the time. Most importantly, when people start pulling their phones out to check out the sky at night, they always end up saying “wow which app is that?” and delete the one they had and download this one instead. That’s really all you need to know. Also something I like is that it doesn’t have the cartoonish feel of many similar apps. Really just can’t stress enough how much this app is better than the rest.

I love how you can see the universe and beyond and see the stars names/etc, however I do wish you can see further from the current range of sight, but overall I love this app!

I love this app and especially the alerts for objects. Apparently it Does have the option to list current satellites overhead! 5/5 would recommend. I also like how this app shows the horizon while other similar apps don’t.

Very well done. Only improvement needed is better way to set compass direction for devices that don’t have a compass (e.g., iTouch).
