I simply love this app. Always been fascinated with space in general and it's awesome to be able to finally know what I'm looking at when checking out the stars. You can see where the International Space Station and other satellites are with the naked eye and it will track it across the sky so you know where to look when its passing by.

  • Want to see a shooting star?

My 3 year old son and I hear an alert on my phone: 6 minutes to an Iridium Flare. He calls them shooting stars. We drop everything and run outside, rushing to the darkest spot in the neighborhood we can find. It’s not that dark, but it doesn’t have to be. We point my phone to the sky and see the path the Iridium satellite will take and watch. A bright shining light grows suddenly in the night sky right where the app points us and his smile and sense of wonder grows with it. It’s over in a few seconds but we talk about it for the rest of the night. Thank you all for this little feature in an already amazing app. Thank you for these moments, and for introducing my son to the world beyond our world. If I could give you 6 stars for this review I would.
  • The new update is a game changer

Before the update, I used this app only for seeing what stars I need to find to align my telescope. Now, it has so many nice things. It tells you upcoming events, like eclipses, meteor showers or when the moon comes apparently close to a planet or star. It also shows weather and light pollution in great detail. Money well spent.

This has been one my favorites for years. It’s just wonderful. But this update. Wow. This is hands down the most incredible app I’ve ever used on my phone. The new sections. The calendar. Gorgeous. And amazing information. Bravo to the team that has designed, developed and maintained this app. Outstanding folks.

I’ve had this app for years and it never fails to disappoint. My wife and I go on walks every evening and we always like to look up and see what is in the sky. I’ve also found it very useful with friends while sitting around the campfire. The gyroscopic features helps identify what is in the sky, and the search features tell me where to look. It’s really an excellent app that is simple to use and understand.

This is best app ever I have. Recently, this app updated and I love it. Also, they added light pollution. It’s really helpful to find really dark place to take pictures of stars even you are on travel. It’s easy. I don’t have to rely on people. Thank you!!
