    I can’t say enough about this app. It’s made a huge difference in helping me be proactive about setting priorities, staying on top of them, and just getting things done. I have been diagnosed with adult ADD, so I’m definitely not suddenly “cured” of forgetting things or over-committing by any means. But I feel so much more in control of my tradeoffs. I tend to see issues coming several days or weeks in advance now, and can often communicate that I’m going to have to shift deadlines or priorities to my colleagues and family. (Although I should probably do that more often...) How Todoist helps. First, I’ve found it much easier to enter tasks, categorize them, and keep track of them here than on paper, in excel, or in other Reminder apps I’ve tried. I like the ability to categorize things into “projects” or responsibilities. Once in a while, on a plane say, I can quickly jot down the 5-10 next natural steps on a given project; I can easily add the dates and categories right while typing (using #tags and simple free-form dates eg “tod” for today). Then Todoist takes them off my mind (and eliminates the stress) until they’re coming due. I often put in due dates a week or a day ahead of the actual due-date, so a given task will show in my queue when I can still do something about it. I like the recurring tasks and the ability to integrate with my Google calendar too (though the Google integration is very hit-and-miss). If I have a day packed with meetings, I still get to feel productive when I check each meeting off as done. In the past, I would have felt that “all I did was meetings!”, but Todoist reminds me that my meetings (which inevitably involve prep and follow-up) are work too... The “karma” feature was big in “hooking” me, so Todoist became a habit. I like monitoring my points, and getting “rewarded” for my efforts. I like that I get rewards for adding items, setting due dates, categorizing — not just for marking things “done”. And I like that Todoist doesn’t penalize me or even remind me of the *original* due date for a task (though that would probably be a good option to be able to look up). My priorities change often enough as a startup founder; it doesn’t help me to hold me slavishly to my first commit date if the world has changed in the meantime. Also in Karma, the points and levels build fast at the beginning, which helps with motivation; later, now that I’m a “Master”, they build more slowly — more a gentle reminder than a “carrot”. (Though I’m still excited to build to Grand Master!) All in all, I love the app. As a software guy, I love the fact that they’re on version 9000+, and I can see them publish updates almost daily. (I’m trying to get my internal engineering team to copy that!). One downside: my Mac app doesn’t really sync well; so I use my iPhone version much more. But overall, a huge improvement in my life. Thanks guys!

    I’m a subscribed user. The Google integration is top notch, best-of-class. I’d like to see you explore the Add-On method in the modern Gmail rather than the browser extension. I’m a little concerned about the amount of access that must be granted through the browser, which is problematic for secure environments. Also, your Microsoft integrations are weak, but I get it. This does limit enterprise presence. Great product. Do an Add-On method for G-Suite and 5-Stars.
  • Notifications unreliable

    I have the premium version and received notifications daily but now I’ve noticed the notifications for my day will not even show up until after I open the app. This makes Todoist no better than any other list app without notifications.

    The app is pretty useful and helps me organize myself very effectively. I have to say that you are smart by providing the basic usage of the app for free and request a fee for cool features. That way, you get to keep for payer/non-payer consumers. Good one!
  • UPDATE: Latest update is so buggy

    [UPDATE]. Developer fixed the issues and also contacted me to check in. thank you. Back to a 4 Star app. I still would love to be able to share an entire project and all of its subprojects. ———— The DARK THEME notification keeps popping up every time I go back to the app or change lists. To top it off, the feedback comes back with message can’t be delivered. Unusual at this point, very frustrating as a premium user. Happy to change review once fixed.

    I've tried MANY list and productivity apps and this one is the best I've found. The Apple watch functionality alone is enough to make me cry happy tears. While sitting at a stoplight or walking around the grocery store, a couple if taps on watch, speak the new item to add, and there it is in a list. No more fumbling for my phone or a pen or forgetting what I wanted to note before I can log it. Plus! I'm wearing my To Do list on my wrist and can view and check off items from there. Wowza, now THAT'S efficient! Lots of other great features as well. I'm sure most everyone could name a thing or two they'd like changed to accomodate preferences but todoist will serve you well if you work with it and get used to how it works. Extremely happy with it!

    App is nice, just wish it had the checkboxes like in the desktop version. It feels better to press a circle to checkmark something done.

    Evaluating the paid version since need a number of its features. The tool being collaborative and having numerous notification options and continual indicate stuff needs to get done is great. One item that needs a UI improvement on the website (that exists on the app) - rather simple? It needs to a date picker when setting a notification date.
  • Dark theme

    I like the dark theme, but the stupid notification to activate/dismiss it shows up every time I click on any list even though I have already clicked and activated it. Super annoying.
