First of all, this game is really great and cool, I would rate this a A- Game as even if there mistakes, this game is really cool! Also, I like that this is one of the games that has the Ballonchipper! That tower is really good and I think you should add it to BTD6! Suggestions: Practically none!

  • It’s a Five Way Tie - Top TD Games of All Time

BTD 5 HD, BTD 6, BTD Battles, Warcraft III Winter Maul, VR Defender Y3K . You’ll notice something interesting about that list, Ninja Kiwi holds 3/5 of the spots, and for good reason. Where others fail to even include, what should be considered the standard, BTD shines brightest. Their upgrade system is beyond impressive. offering a progressive and steady learning curve for new players and deep strategy and pixel perfect tower placement for advanced defenders. Bloons TD serves up innovative and imaginative tower concepts, buttery smooth animations, and an art style ripe with charm to offer a complete package worthy of its price. The satisfaction of a map packed to its absolute limit with super monkey temples and techno terrors, is sublime. This is a feature that I think other TD games drop the ball at, when you have fixed positions that you can place the towers at you have limited the strategy and artificially inflated the difficulty. The challenge of mono typing or single tower limits provides days of entertainment, thats not even getting started on the co-op and competitive aspects. Though there are in game purchases, some of which are unbalanced. They offer a satisfying effect, such as bigger beacon radius and healthy bananas. Id like to see the bundle package be brought down in price, $15 is a little steep for what you get. Some features I’d like to see to improve the mobile experience: Snap to edge or snap to grid tower placement, lets be honest my soft and sticky fingers provide very little accuracy on the pixel scale. I’d like to have a toggle in the pause menu where we would have to option to snap towers to the edge of the track and each other. Most towers have a round footprint which gives you a 70 percent packing efficiency. It is very tedious to place towers sometimes when all that is available is a 2x2 pixel window of error and every time my finger peels off the screen the tower shifts 3 pixels. Honestly the snap to edge feature could have a distance of engagement at about 5-10 pixels and it would be a significant quality of life improvement without being obnoxious when I don’t want it to snap. Something to look into would be maze defense like the Warcraft 3 winter mauls. They were, I’m sure, an inspiration to BTD. My favorite thing to do in Warcraft 3 was play tower defense. My favorite kind of TD was where I could build my own maze out of towers. Forcing the creeps to make the long arduous journey through my tunnels of death. And then watching the flying creeps sail over them straight to the goal. This provided an entirely different tier of strategy that I think would be an incredible addition to the bloons family. This game type would require a grid system to snap towers together and leave no gaps or alternatively they could build fences between them to funnel bloons. And lastly a complaint, I recently re- downloaded btd 5 HD only to discover to my horror that all of my progress had been reset and my cloud save had been wiped back to level 1. This hurt my soul. All of my medals and high scores on the tracks were preserved but none of my coins, cash, upgrades, buildings or agents survived. I’ve been trying to make progress but its disheartening to say the least, if I had access to fast track it wouldn’t be so bad but thats quite a grind from zero. Overall, BTD 5 HD is a 10/10; a flawless addition to the genre and a shining example of how it should be done.
