  • Not a fan of the redesign

I like having the paper in app format but the new redesign is clunky and harder to read. Not to mention the icon is awful!
  • Subscription via Apple App Store doesn’t work

About once every month or so the app starts to fail to recognize that I’m paying a monthly fee via the App Store for a subscription on my phone and iPad. It is hard to get to reconfigured to work again each time. App is extremely annoying in that way.
  • Stays broke

App crashes multiple times per day. Pushes stories and when you try to read the story it’s pushing it locks up and crashes.
  • Wish there was a ZERO stars

App freezes whenever I click on breaking news. Not my device—iPhone X with 246 GB storage and less than 15% used. In a word... pathetic. Not worthy of the venerable Sun paper.
  • Bad app

The app is terrible. Difficult to use and access articles. The videos only sometimes load and pictures at the top of articles are not visible. Please fix this especially because we pay to access these articles.
  • App freezes

Since I upgraded to an iPhone X the app freezes when opening a story about half the time. The only option is to close the app and come back later.

How in the world is no one fixing this application? I, everyone I know, and most of these reviewers seem to experience the exact same issues; but Tribune or Tronc or whatever the company’s name is today cannot fix it? I am a paying subscriber as well; offer up some product for the dough.
  • Not a good app

My biggest issues: -forces user to leave app and directs content to browser. Why have an app if you are doing to make me just use my web browsers where I have to log in each time? -stops music playing from other apps -the latest news is never the latest news. The way the articles are sorted malfunctions. Half the time I see articles I’ve read days ago at the top of the latest news. Overall it’s a clumsy app with not enough content within it to justify its existence.
  • Does not work

I have downloaded the app multiple times. Why have a paid subscription to an app that does not load load articles?
  • Video plays and then you have to kill the app

    2
    By User12460
After watching a video in the app on an ipad, there is no way to get back to other content. You can watch the video again, or you can kill the app and re-launch it to see other content.
