    I seriously thought I was going to hate this because my therapist made me download it. I’ve never meditated and—sorry I thought it was silly. Holy moly I was wrong. Headspace am amazing tool I can use when my anxiety overwhelms me. I've used the sleep and meditation areas and I look forward to them every night.

    His is the only thing that lets me sleep at night. My only problem is that you have to subscribe to it. It isn’t that expensive but for it was worth it. If you really need a good meditation app this is the best one. I have tried many other meditation apps and none of them work for me!

    I’m enjoying the introduction to meditation and Change. I feel safe. This journey isn’t teaching me to empty myself of thought but to pay attention to my whole self... I have had trouble staying in my body because I’ve had an addiction... an eating disorder. This is helping me like being in my body. Its freeing me to feel without fear.

  • Would be better if not subscription-based

    I tried the 10 free days and loved it. The meditations were calming and helped me focus and center myself, and they were easy to squeeze into my busy schedule. I sincerely enjoyed learning this skill, and I want to continue training my mind like this...unfortunately, I will probably not be using this app. The subscription system is what is putting me off. I’m a college kid so I don’t have a lot of extra money lying around, but that’s only part of the point - I know myself pretty well, so I know that I will eventually fall out of practice with meditation and eventually I will pick it back up again as a lose/regain interest. What bothers me about the current system is that when this happens, I will either have to keep paying while not using the app, or cancel my subscription and then re-subscribe as I stop/restart practicing, which is a hassle I don’t want to go through. And god forbid I pay almost $100 for a year and then lose interest a few months in. It’s way too big of a commitment for something I’m not even sure I’ll stick with. Furthermore, while perusing the app I saw quite a few courses that I was interested in, and I also saw ones that I would probably never need or use. Why would I subscribe for access to the whole library when I won’t be using some of them? Why can’t I just pay for the ones I want to/actually will use? I have a suggestion: get rid of the subscription system. Instead, split the courses up, and have a smaller fee to get lifetime access to one/a group of courses at a time (the meditations never change, after all, so why not treat it like buying an audiobook or something?). This appeals to people like me who lose interest but come back to it later; if I have permanent access to some content, I’ll keep coming back to this app, and that makes it more likely I’ll eventually buy more content. I have no problems dropping a few dollars at a time and supporting the developers if i know I get to keep the content - otherwise it’ll feel like I wasted money when I inevitably unsubscribe and no longer have access to anything. This honestly seems like a great app, judging from the free 10 days. Unfortunately, until the subscription system is changed, I’ll never know for sure.
