  • Unuseable!!!

    By Stringuitar
Super glitchy. I could not even move past the first bar because of the text/lyric option. It would not respond, hard to delete and the eraser or undo wouldn’t always work, some features would work, then stop working. Trying to make a simple chord chart with lyrics and would just end up having to fight with glitches. I want a refund and I’m gonna get another app. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 super frustrating

The new writing app makes the app better; though it was good before. Just wondering what happened to all the instruments I purchased for a dollar a piece(I.e. dark bass). I hope there’s a restore purchases button in the next update, then I would give it more stars.
  • Difficult learning curve

    By 7sax7
I purchased this app for the specific reason of writing out a horn charts for Saxophone. I am sure the app does everything that it specifies however some of the directions seem to be lacking. I tried to add a multi measure rest. I followed the Instructions in the help guide to a T and it did not work properly. I emailed customer support and they sent me a link to the same instructions that didn’t work the first time I tried it. When I got back to them they said to send them a copy of the chart which I can’t do because I don’t have a desk computer. Come on guys I’m sure you can simplify things a little better. This seems to be an app with much potential but very difficult to understand. I just want to write a horn chart with an easy way to write multi measure rests and add measures. Would give it five stars if there’s an easy way to do this. Until then I’m going back to the free app that I’ve been using. It doesn’t have the hand writing option in that notion does and it takes longer to write the charts but it’s much easier to navigate.

Works as advertised. Actually, one of the easiest notation apps around.
  • So broken not worth using

    By Artfulalibi
I purchased this app and several of the in app options. The app is so broken it's not worth using. Whole menus will fail to work or update. It feels like it was put together by someone who has never used a tablet. Don't waste your money.
  • It’s the best thing we have for iOS

    By Jalexander355
This app is wonderful, but I just wish it was capable of some simple things. Slurs between staves, chords entry from multi-touch (it currently holds onto each chord note, making multiple note entry for chords a REAL headache). The automatic scrolling, often causes you to spend most of your time shifting your display upon playback. Other than these items, it’s mostly wonderful.
  • It’s convenient

    By kpeep417
Notion is very convenient if you’re not someone who carries a laptop everywhere. However, despite its convenience, it has many issues. One that I am sure many Notion users can relate to is the constant crashing. Notion currently only supports 14-16 instruments at the same time, meaning that playing back a larger score means that the app will crash. Another issue I have is that every time I try to export audio files of my projects to different apps, they always end up being a little more than a half-step off key. If Notion were to fix all of these issues, I feel like it would be an amazing software. For now, it needs improvement

I have only been using this a few weeks, but so far I really enjoy it! The handwriting feature with my iPad Pro and pencil is awesome! There was/is a learning curve to use just the right gesture to get what I want notated-but I’m getting there! I haven’t encountered any problem or issue I haven’t been able to google my way out of. (Noticing some reviews saying “I can’t figure out how to...”. Use the Pre Sonus site and provided help- and when in doubt-there is probably a YouTube video! I’m not a huge Finale or Sibelius user- but I know enough to find my way through this app intuitively. I use it for quick transcriptions from a score (lost or missing parts) or other tasks like that. Love having the portability of this on my iPad-along with the quickness of the handwriting.

Quiero un reembolso, la aplicación está defectuosa y no me abre las partituras.
  • Making music in a particular Key

    By Tony's G
My issue is it defaults to Key Of C. If I write something in a different key, I have to individually mark every note where there is a # or b. Also, there is no provision to loop a playback.
