I recently updated my iPad to iOS 11. My Peterson app needs to be updated. I have purchased this app before. How do I update without extra cost? I read that someone contacted gWhiz and they were helpful. How do I contact them?
  • Rip off!

I purchased this app a few years ago and later they locked all the birds that I had access to and want $15 more. Bad business model. You don't take away existing functionality from existing users and then demand more money.

I like this app a lot. Have been using this for several years now. Very good intuitive design. Really like the look of the sighting log and the ability to add comments. Also add my photos to the bird descriptions. The bird search section adapts to where you are. Find it very easy to look up a bird. I bird with my binoculars and iPad and this App. I highly recommend it.

Due to the IOS 11 update the old app no longer works and apparently will not be updated so that it does. Buy the new updated app that works on IOS 11? I DON’T THINK SO.

I purchased this app several years ago, and I've always had full access to all the species. Recently when I brought it back down from the cloud, I found that I had very limited access to the content, and it prompted me to purchase the app for full access. I think that's a customer rip-off and definitely not worth it.
  • Where’s my original purchase?

Wanting me to buy this guide again? Was not originally presented as a subscription. I would be just fine with the original purchase which has apparently been stolen from me. I just spent 19.99 for Ibird Ultimate; will not reward Peterson.

I just recently upgraded from an iPhone 5 to an iPhone 8. When I tried to download this app from the cloud, it wanted to make me pay for it all over again. I assume it’s because there’s a newer version. I’ve already paid for the app and don’t see why should have to pay for it again. What really stinks is that I don’t even have access to the old features, which I enjoyed. After reading some of the if you reviews, I’m not sure I want to spend $15 on the upgrade. And was really bad, is they tell you that if you pay the $15 then you get “lifetime access“ all the birds. I already paid the $15 and should have lifetime access, hard to know what to believe.

I updated this app after having it for years. I didn't want to update but the new IOS forced me to. And now I have to re buy this app? I don't understand.

I purchase the original Peterson field guide from this company some time ago. They quit supporting the app and it will not work with IOS 11. I will not pay for it again. Not happy but this isn’t the only field guide in the App Store.
