AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run App Reviews

  • Great Topo maps

    By sbdoc
The app has lots of layers. I use mainly the topo map. It’s fun to record your track. I’ve used it in Colorado and California and as long as you download the map before you lose cell service it works great. It uses gps when you are not in WiFi or cell service area. Happy hiking!
  • Best trail app for exploring new places

    By wolfgangstiller
I have not found a better app with better coverage in more places. This is now my go to trail app and web page
  • No for iPad

    By Mystery Bot
Love this app on Android, but the ‘iPad’ version is just the form factor for the iPhone. Very disappointing because having the trail map on my iPad would have made planning my trip much more convenient. When I filter ‘iPad Only’ the AppStore’s search, I clearly expect to filter apps that have an iPad resolution. This is miss categorized in my opinion.
  • So easy to find hikes!

    By SuzEnnis
I love this app. It’s so easy to find nearby trails and the user reviews and photos give you a good sense of what you’re in for. Maps are well integrated. Sorting and filtering are easy. Very intuitive, simple, well designed, easy to use.

  • Fantastic app for mountain lovers!

    By Gen Leb
I have been using the pro version for 1.5 years and just love the opportunity to download different layers to maps and more than anything being able to find great hikes!
  • Number one Adventure App:)

    By Adventurer59
All trails is my number one go to app for any and all hiking no matter where I am. I love being able to see other hikers reviews and comments because it makes prepping for a hike very helpful. On top of that all trails gives great insight into the hikes along with stellar pictures people can post.
  • Can’t upgrade to pro...

    By Milo Toor
The application by and large is great. However, I have been unable to upgrade to pro to download maps. A spinner icon renders for a few seconds and then vanishes, and I’m still on the “Upgrade to Pro” page... Ridiculously I can’t upgrade to pro in a browser either, as the mobile website fondly tells me that “AllTrails works best when you switch to our mobile friendly app” and offers no ability to continue using the browser to upgrade. Please fix this, it’s pretty absurd that I can’t pay you money, and unbelievable that this would escape beta testing.
  • Lots of choices

    By PeteDuc
In the past, finding trails that were okay for my dog was challenging. Now I don’t have to do the same trail over and over.
