Washington Post Print Edition App Reviews

  • Great while traveling

    By EmsEmg
It’s so wonderful to keep in touch with Washington Post news while away from home. It’s very easy to use and I appreciate the ‘actual news format’. Thank you.
  • Why I like the print version of WP

    By cjc=X
I like seeing all the articles on one page, typically I read all of front page then decide which story to go to. The digital version is not as enjoyable for me. Thank you for having the print option, love it!
  • Crazy expensive

    By jjbj
I pay a large fee for daily inhome delivery. They want hundreds more to access online. I get most of my news online. I use BBC, AP, and CNN as well as other online news services for free.
  • Print Edition

Easy to use and feels like I’m actually reading “the paper”. As a senior citizen, it’s a lot easier to use my iPad than struggle with the real print copy.
  • A must have news source

    By OneVoIP
Absolutely the best... Always with sufficient detail and thoughtful, insightful authors. I throughly enjoy reading the Washington Post daily. My go-to source for the most up-to-date and complete news. Thank you for asking! Tony
  • No holds barred

    By JimDE711
Nice to read in-depth reporting that pulls no punches. Yet not clearly slanted.
  • good but should be all one thing

    By A.M. Cacioppo
I very much enjoy being able to read the day’s print edition, but wish it were not a separate app from the regular WP app but could be integrated somehow, as the NYT is.
  • Spectacular National Edition

    By hepardoc
The national and world coverage by the Washington Post is the most complete, authoritative, and balanced news coverage available on the planet. Geoffrey Braden Logan, Utah
  • Frustrating for crossword

    By crossworder5
Not bad for reading articles. But trying to do the crossword is incredibly frustrating. I am forced to watch a 17 second ad before I can access the crossword (despite the fact that I’m a paid digital subscriber and am signed in), then when I click to get Friday’s puzzle, it loads the one from Thursday. That’s ok; I don’t mind working that one. I work on it for a while, go to supper, come back and work it some more, watch some tv, do some more crossword, then go to bed. Each time I went back to the ap after being away for a while, the crossword was there right where I’d left off. The timer had even stopped while I was away. Pretty nice, I thought. Next day, when I go back to try to finish it, I click on “Thursday” but it gives me Wednesday’s puzzle (after making me watch a 17 second ad). So, I think I’ve figured this out... I go back and click “Friday” in order to get Thursday’s puzzle (it works!). But first I’m forced to watch the same 17 second ad for a 3rd time (again, I am a PAID, signed-in subscriber), and finally Thursday’s puzzle comes up... but it’s blank! My partially completed puzzle is now apparently lost. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but it shouldn’t be this hard.
  • Print version isn’t working at all

    By Readers&WritersInk
Until recently, this app works fine. But after the last update, the print app does not work at all on an iPad.
