Dictionary.com Pro Learn Words App Reviews

  • Please fix this glitch!

    By Paddy McSlim
This is a great app, and I use it all the time. I love it, except for a weird idiosyncrasy in which words that are supposed to be in quotes or parentheses are instead preceded and followed by a strange set of letters and symbols that make no sense and create a lot of confusion. I assumed that this would be cleared up eventually, but it has been going on for well over a year, maybe two. Am I the only user who experiences this?
  • Iyanla Please Fix my dict.com 🙄

Can’t ever scroll entire page and word of the day is stuck on Aug 21: kyoodle.
  • Use app daily

    By TP1620
Memos or text writings just seem to be a part of my daily life. Our ability to be understood is critical. Not a working day goes by that I don’t use this app.
  • Petty political bias and many definitions

    By btsLV
Deliberately disrespect in the current president of the United States, Donald Trump by not including his name in the dictionary is apalling.
  • Why the huge white space?

    By Tiptaptap
While I like this app, I have yet to figure out why there is a huge white space right under the search bar. There should be productive use of that area and not just a large blank white space.

    Love it!!
  • Thesaurus.com is better

    By WillyPaine
I recently switched back to web base thesaurus.com (iOS Safari). More simple. Bigger fonts list is not too longer. More antonyms list. For iOS apps, should have setting choice regular display or thesaurus.com display. Need good font size for my reading difficulty.
  • Pronounce doesn’t work :(

    By Nikki_Sole
I’ve tried multiple different words and the option to pronounce does not work on any which is quite frustrating. Everything else appears to be working as expected.

    By Clickadeedoda
The app is pretty good at doing what it says it does. But one very infuriating thing is when you have searched and found the information you wanted, if leave dictionary.com open and go to another app, when you come back, IT RELOADS and goes back to an empty search box. You lose what you have looked up So, multitasking? No. I did purchase the pro app. Pro also reloads if you leave and come back. This is very close to a deal breaker for me.
  • It’s What I Expected

    By Nickname4wat
Works and is what is expected. What more can be said? Only one thing, I’ll say this in caps because I want the DEVELOPER to see this. WHEN WORDS ARE SAVED AS FAVORITES, THE FAVORITES PAGE SHOULD HAVE FORWARD/BACK BUTTONS OR A SWIPE ABILITY TO USE LIKE A ‘FLASH CARD’ MODE. I don’t enjoy paging back and forth just to get to the next word.
