  • Missing options

Easy to use! But missing options of double sided print and multiple pages per sheet. Close to being a great app for convenience
  • Does not show all photo folders

    By barndoor34
Ugh. For some reason, this app does not show all of the folders within the Photos app. It only shows certain folders, looks like the ones that are shared perhaps. My “all photos” folder has over 1000 photos, and that folder does not show up. So I can’t use this app to print photos. If that worked, I’d give Brother 5 stars for the app. Like the Google Drive integration. Simple yet verbal interface. Pretty cool that you can upgrade the firmware right from the app.
  • Oh Brother!

As above review I have had the same problem and can’t use this to print from iPhone or iPad anymore
  • Needs iPhone X Support

    By Arcadian_Rebel
App works great! It’s too bad iPhone doesn’t offer native support for anything else besides their AirPrinter.
  • Needs better integration

    By joutwate76
When you attempt to save scanned files to iCloud it saves a text file with the contents ‘from brother iPrint&Scan’. Same happens with other ‘send to’ targets with the exception of saving to your photos. You can obviously work around this by first saving to photos and then moving it from there but it’s just inconvenient. There’s almost no point for using the print capability from the app as it’s better integrated from the os level. The app print option doesn’t support iCloud files from you phone either. It’s like this app is trapped in 2010 when you still needed a Mac to use your iPhone.
  • Software issues

Hey I was able print and scan from my iPhone. But now I can only print and NOT scan. Can someone help me out here. Thanks !
  • Deep Sleep

    By RetFoosh
Maybe if I could get the printer out of deep sleep, the iPhone could find it!!! Oh wait, now the printer is out of deep sleep, and the iPhone still can’t find it! Brother is living in the 2000’s still with a Microsoft mentality where you have to manually configure things instead of having them just work.

I'm sorry I'm not a rich hipster that can afford only three latest and greatest devices for every member of the family! ONE STAR!!!!
  • Many many bugs & glitches.

In the most optimistic, bare bones interpretation- it does what it says it can do. It does it so poorly though that you will probably rarely, if ever, use this app. To scan from this app you literally can only control color or b&w, no resolution, no can scan directly to a cloud service...if you go and manually save it and using iOS’s file system save options choose your cloud destination there. Also, it creates and saves in your scan destination a text file that says “From Brother iPrint&Scan” for EACH SCAN! Also from the app it just saves everything as .png format and with the name “image.” I’m mentioning all these because scanning from the device direct to cloud lets you pick the resolution (though the files scanned from app appear to be much higher resolution based on file size??) and names them with the time scanned, and gives some other good options. It’s like the people who did this app and the people who did the commands directly on the printer didn’t even talk to each other or attempt in any way to have similar features at both interfaces. Very frustrating.
  • Can’t connect

Same as previous reviewer. For some reason lately it will not recognize my WiFi. I have to restart every time and even then sometimes it still will not print.
