The Iphone app has provided me with an excellent tool to keep my records close at hand without dragging along my laptop. In the field I can quickly search to verify information in my tree or look for additional notes that I've added. This latest revision gives the app a professional look and feel. Wish they could add a GPS location tool for recording actual gravesite locations. Presently using another app for that. If you are on the go a lot and want access to your tree, this is the app for you. Highly recommend!

Very addictive, the Leaves with hints that work out make me want to keep congratulations back for more. I prefer the lay out of the profile pages, it allows me to be able to tell more of a story.
  • Love it

I really enjoy this app. My only wish is that I could do all the same things on the app as I can on my computer. But I can honestly say I use it everyday.

Very handy on my tablet and my phone. Can do spur of the moment lookups and saves.

  • Updates not helpful and make things worse!

Not removing previous review except to add that on an iPad the entire top half of the screen is wasted dead space. Which was in the previous version. I do not understand why they are making it harder and harder to use. I only use the app on my phone to delete the irrelevant indexed hints to get them out of the way and to delete the 4,000,000 blurry sailing ships, country flags and insipid cutesy Cupids and drawings of pilgrims. Granted those annoyances are user uploads and not ancestry programmer’s doing but the changes take the phone app from bad to impossible to see. They may want to consider that people who use these apps are primarily baby boomers with reading specs. I've removed previous reviews. The newest update makes any editing a tedious confusing and frustrating process. To simply correct a mispelled city take countless taps and hunting for where to fix. This app gets worse and worse. This whole "story" thing is so useless. Some people do not want to combine their facts into a timeline story. I find it very annoying. The latest version results in a screen where on a profile the top 2/3 is BLANK - and the three previous views of timeline, sources and gallery are now itty bitty impossible to read columns side by side at the bottom. I used to use this app extensively and now it's rendered useless.

Love the ancestry app. It is so useful when we don't carry our computer.
