  • Savings cart won’t work now

    Since the last update the last few times I’ve tried to use savings catcher it won’t work. I try to scan the qr code in store to apply my rewards and it won’t scan. the cashiers have tried suspending my order and rerunning it at another register but no luck. Has happened the last two times I made a purchase. I’m not happy at all

    One thing that could DRASTICALLY IMPROVE THIS APP is to allow you to get CASH BACK ($20-100) just as you can if you are using your debit card directly. I like the automatic submission of receipts. The elimination of scanning your receipt didn’t set well. I only do this now when I need cash back, but cannot even manually submit the receipt for price matching.

    January 22nd: The latest update seems to have fixed my problem. Hopefully it keeps working. January 13th: Today is the second time since it became mandatory to scan the code at the store that I wasn’t able to get Walmart Pay to work. I don’t know if it’s because I don’t have a credit/debit card stored in the app, but I shouldn’t be forced to do that. I usually have to use multiple forms of payment per transaction to pay for my items when I do a heavy shop so it doesn’t make sense to store my cards. It was so much easier when I had the option to scan a code on the receipt afterwards so I wish that was still an option for the times when Walmart Pay won’t work in store.

    It sure would be cool if you could scan your tire and lube express “passport” through the app to see when your car is ready. There are three cars ahead of me so i will be here for awhile and the closest scanner to the subway inside Walmart is halfway across the store.
  • 11 days and waiting for refund

    I returned an item that I bought online to the store. I have now gone back three different times as well as called twice asking for the status of my refund and nobody can tell me anything except to give it a few more days. Today I was told that this is happening to several different people and they can’t get a hold of corporate to inquire why refunds aren’t going through. Stay away from Walmart. They can surely take the money out of your account rather quickly but getting it returned is a hassle.

    Love using this app. I would have given more stars but since you can no longer scan receipts and MUST USE WAL-MART PAY to submit receipts I only give it 3 stars. I’ve missed out on submitting many receipts if I don’t happen to have my phone or if my older kids go shopping for me. I also don’t like that I must use the gift card balance first. I much rather choose when I use my gift card. Give back the ability to scan receipts and don’t force me to use my gift cards and I will definitely give this app a 5 star rating.

    This happens to be the worst move ever Walmart! I absolutely hate the new scan your QR code for Walmart pay. When you have 200.00 worth of merchandise and you’ve walked around forever getting this merchandise you can’t find a checkout that the line isn’t a mile long being there is only 3 opened at the most so you stand there forever, you unload all merchandise and you then reload back into shopping cart, while people behind you are staring because your taking up too much time then it’s time to pay WHO has the mind to get out their phone, log in to Walmart pay and scan a code then you get out your wallet to pay, you don’t get a paper receipt back, NO WALMART NO WRONG MOVE! Read all of your reviews, people are hating this new way with Myself included.MANY many times I’ve never thought to scan code at register and I have lost out on very many large ticket purchases. When before you could always wait until next day if need be, to snap a pic of receipt. This is absolutely ridiculous the way it has to be utilized now instead of the old way!! I among many many others are very disappointed in the NEW way of saving money has to be performed. Absolutely too many steps to it, while others behind you are practically pushing you to go on and get out of their way!! Also we as customers don’t exactly know how to use the app correctly, well guess what neither do the cashiers and even some of the managers. I think EVERY WALMART EMPLOYEE should be trained on how to help the customer if a problem occurs or if you just simply have a question about it. Several are not even aware of what you are doing or talking about!! While I’m ranting there is something else that is TERRIBLE for customers. I live in Eastern Ky. where struggle is REAL. Most of us live from paycheck to paycheck! WHY do away with year round layaway? That really hurts several of us whom struggle from day to day, you can’t shop in your small town for prices are ridiculously high. You do away with year round layaway and you change savings catcher it sounds to me as if your trying to run your customers off. I, like many others saved my savings catcher earnings all year and used it for Christmas or for a necessary “big” item. The same with LAYAWAY that is the ONLY WAY some of us have the opportunity to purchase big items!! I, along with many many others really wish WALMART would listen to their customers for we are what makes your store survive!! PLEASE MAKE CHANGE or I’m afraid you are going to loose a lot of business including myself that do live in these small areas where Walmart is very close to being your only choice for certain merchandise!!
