ForeFlight Mobile EFB App Reviews

  • Update concern

    By Fluiddude 26
After the update, ForeFlight is causing my iPad Pro 9.7 to lock up and restart multiple times. Screen goes bad and then iPad freezes or restarts. Reset the iPad and everything works fine until I downloaded and ran foreflight. Using on a second iPad without the update and without iOS 11.4.1 with no issues.
  • Best EFB

    By blanrv84n
By far the best aviation EFB out there. I have the performance plus + USA Jep charts. To use the full potential of FF you need the performance plus.
  • Customer support

    By 500agl
I had an issue with charts downloading that I wasn’t able to figure out on my own. Contacted support through the website, the responded in less than 20 minutes! Issue was resolved quickly! Fantastic app with excellent customer support! Thanks Todd!
  • ADSB Now won’t show any data

    By underasian
Before the update everything worked fine with the ADSB. After the update I don’t get any data (Weather, and Traffic). The only thing it does is it shows me my GPS location.
  • Overpriced

    By Stranded Shower Curtain
My minimum to pay should be under $50. And I already went through the trouble of the cost of my plane and gassing my plane I shouldn’t have to pay more and more just for the app. “Create your free account” yeah whatever.
  • ForeFlight Tech Support

I have had nothing but fast, courteous and excellent response to all questions that I have submitted to ForeFlight's "Pilot Support Team". They fully answer every question I have needed help with. As an active Pilot, I have found the ForeFlight App a must have for every flight.
  • Traffic display on synthetic vision.

    By diveandskate
I’m a long-time Foreflight user and have seen many updates and changes over the years but... I wanted to give the team props on the new feature where traffic is displayed on the heads-up (SV) screen. I don’t frequently use the synthetic vision display except in areas of high terrain but on a trip to Denver this week I checked out that feature thoroughly (traffic display on SV). It was quite accurate in the depiction of traffic location with respect to aircraft flying around me. It was pretty cool how I was able to reference a lake or other feature to more-easily spot planes below me. And with the on-screen targets growing larger as they get closer it gives you a great perspective of how serious the threat actually is. Good job guys! I’ve been ADS-B compliant since January 2014 and have enjoyed traffic depictions for several years now. I understand the importance of looking outside the cockpit but I’m certain that the Foreflight traffic display does enhance safety. I’ll likely use “synthetic vision” more now, particularly in areas of high traffic concentration.

  • I’m a better and safer pilot with ForeFlight

    By davidcowart
I’ve used his app since 2012. This is the best thing to be made available to the aviation community since the invention of GPS navigation. It takes so many complex things associated with flying an airplane and puts it all inside one intuitively designed app. It’s like sticking a G1000 in your iPad for a few hundred bucks. I take ForeFlight on every flight and I definitely feel I’m a better - safer pilot with this platform. PPL/MEL/Instrument
  • Add a paste feature!

    By Mattm1
I was trying to paste a previously copied flight routing into the route box on the map page, and discovered I can’t paste the route. Am I doing it wrong?
