  • Geocache no more!

    By K5988
I have been geocaching for many years and I’ve purchased the app twice $10 each time, and it was worth it to me. But I refuse to pay yearly for it.
  • Perfect

    Perfect mobile app! Easy access.
  • Awful business

    By Chase the Case
Today I was reminded of how disgusting it was for Groundspeak to discontinue a full-featured $10 app and replace it with this subscription-only substitute. By gaiting away all caches above level 2 difficulty, Groundspeak has made the app nearly useless to anyone but premium members, pushing out once avid players and seriously hamstringing our ability to entice new geocachers. There were already premium caches, so by what justification did this company decide to hold the rest of them for ransom on mobile? At this point, I wish I could take back every dollar I ever spent on Groundspeak over the years because I feel so utterly betrayed. I never want the community to forget about what they’ve done. Do not download this app unless you are ready to pay the $30 every year to make it useful and are also willing to hope they never delete THIS app for something even more expensive in the future. This move was not only ridiculous but downright unethical. Do not support this company.
  • Compas needs work

    By maxamillion1373
I think the app is cool and all I just think the Compass feature needs work once I found the geocache and the apps compass feature said it was 35 feet away from me if there’s any developers out there take a look at this and see if you can figure something out
  • Ripoff

    By ItsMyNickname
There’s still that bug where I paid $10 for unlimited access and then you took it away. Please fix. That should be illegal.
  • Biggest app ripoff to date

    By geocacheripoff
Paid for a working app then they attempted to force payment again. I am surprised it was allowed.
  • Works well, could use some changes

    By GJCM
The app continues to advance and change which is nice, but I do miss the old app that is not supported anymore. Maybe because I was so use using it. Overall the app works well and does what it should, but there are things I would like to see. Biggest right now, I would like the app to work with Apple Watch. Would like an easy place to see all photos without going through comments. I don’t know if it’s the phone or the app, but lately the GPS writhing the app has been off, but when using my separate GPS app, it works just fine. Not sure why it would matter.
  • Logging in with Facebook

    By DNPinthePP
So I go to login with Facebook and on Facebook’s end everything goes fine, then it automatically sends me back to the geocaching app and it’s still on the “login with Facebook” page. So it gets 1 star for wasting space on my phone and adding frustration to my life with no reward.
  • Great for all ages

Love to explore new places in our hometown and when on vacation. Always a new adventure!!!
  • What a joke

    By Dosboooot
Such a ripoff, really. $30 a year. Sigh. Everyone has to grab for the cash, kind of a shame. The old days of everyone freely sharing caching data were nice.
