Much to improve with this app

Seattle is fortunate to have a first-rate news organization at a time when our democratic ideals are under attack.
  • Needs improvement

The articles are written on a six grade level. I thought Seattle was supposed to be of a higher intellectual level. So why do we have to read this watered down garbage? And when you switch completely to videos , I’m out of here Also, it wouldn’t hurt to put the tiniest little bit of humor into a story where it is appropriate we are not all dull headed socialists with no sense of humors.

Stop making me rate the app

Started to read Seattle Times in 1950. First article I can remember reading entirely was Hugh McElhaney running wild in UW victory over the Cougars that Nov day. Over the years I have tried to read it daily while I lived in the area. Does the ST struggle at times? They do politically but always manage to get through it. I hope they don’t fold, cuz sports, travel, entertainment & local news always excellent.

I’m loving the digital paper! We live on the Kitsap Peninsula and current information regarding ‘Westside Issues’ and what’s happening in Olympia can be difficult to access! Thanks Seattle Times for providing me with a broader view!

I like the app, but it crashes somewhat often and I wish the text were adjustable to be bigger.
  • Shows annoying ads even for paid subscribers

Paid subscribers shouldn’t have to see animating ads at the bottom of the screen.
  • Poor presentation on iPad

The main page is too wide on my 10.5” iPad Pro, causing awkward horizontal scrolling. Most other news feeds are a single narrow column, with large amounts of white space on either side. It’s obvious this app was designed primarily for phones rather than tablets, where I prefer to read the paper.
  • Missing Search option

I like the app but would like to be able to search for articles I see in the print version. I have to go to the online version to do that.
