Got this app because it had horseback riding as one of the options for mapping my ride. I haven’t used it for a month, and now when I opened it back up that option is no longer there. What the hell?
  • Soooo glad I found this App

Used to really love this app for hikes. I still its just ok. Marginal at best. Good for flat trail hikes and good cell service areas. That’s when it’s most accurate. It doesn’t really account for elevation and the stats always get thrown way off. Hiked a long hike yesterday and I kept getting pop up notifications that my workout has stopped and tap to resume. Annoying because I definitely was not stopped. Time for a new hiking app. Disappointed.

Only just started re- using, this time around it kept pausing- very annoying. B4, it was great.
  • Apple Watch issues

At first I was excited about connecting to my Apple Watch. The problem lies in the app (in the watch). The Map My hike watch app constantly prompts you to save, finish, discard etc. Every time I tried to look at my watch, one of those prompts came up. I managed to delete a 7 mile hike with over 3000 feet of elevation gain because I accidentally bumped the watch.
  • MapMyHike: Application Termination

Since the most recent upgrades (iOS and MapMyHike), I’m constantly getting a pop-up notification of “Application Termination” - your workout has been stopped. Tap this notification to resume your work out. Problem is, this occurs in the middle of the work out when I haven’t stopped. It is incredibly annoying and very frequent. Under Armor, get your act together. Something is very wrong.
