  • Since ASICS bought them it’s gone downhill

I used to love this app, it was on the forefront of everything. Incorporated Apple Watch first and b most robustly. Then they sold out to ASICS and as is typical with large corporations that freedom to be creative and cutting edge has given way to corporate governance and stifling of creative genius. I have had problems now for over a month send several requests for help and still nothing. $40 for Runkeeper go is a joke, 75% of its features are not available on mobile, and really all it offers is graphs to show you what you already know (your running has either gotten better or worse recently, which your feet and memory can also tel you) which is a modern day shame. $20 is reasonable but with strava offering so many more new and useful features these days, and for a mere $3 a month ($36 a year) I won’t be renewing here next year. Not to mention they claim 50 million users but literally I haven’t found one of my friends or local running community (Dallas) yet not using strava. Recently I finished my 400th run on the app, my tracker went from 399th +1, =1140th, even though I reached out for help, I still have no resolution on it.

Both Nike Run Club and Runtastic Pro crashed during the first week I used them on my Nike+ Apple Watch, but Runkeeper has not crashed yet. Tracks runs as you would expect. I have my iPhone app set to display kilometers, but the Watch only displays miles. That's disappointing. Other that, no complaints. It's my go-to app. EDIT: looks like Runkeeper fixed the Mi/Km issue. Thanks.

I don’t like what I am seeing with the new version. I just got a new phone and downloaded the Runkeeper app. It doesn’t have mt. Biking, hiking, the cool map to see where I have gone. I am so disappointed. I loved that app.

Used to be a great app for running but has become almost useless. Running plans give limited options and once you subscribe there is no easy way to cancel. Buyer beware.
  • Works for me

I had been using run keeper for several years. It did work well, fairly easy to use, no problems. I only used the basic free mode so I can't talk about advanced features. 2018 and now in 2019 they keep adding stuff that I, as a boomer, have no need for or desire to learn about. Now I can't even find how to upload to Facebook. I had stopped using is last year but I'm trying it again. Sorry old friend but I am going to unfriend runkeeper.

Runkeeper has been my most favorite running app and helped me run 2 marathons. I haven’t used in much in the past year and am getting back into running now so I purchased Runkeeper go for the training plains. I miss Jeff Gaudette’s plans. The ASICS ones are not as good. I also haven’t found a way to remove challenges I don’t want to be a part of anymore or remove this “My first 5K” from my start page on the app. The website hardly allows you do anything either. I’m disappointed I paid for Go.
  • Great app ever!
