  • Needs Better/Verified Calorie Database

    By Exile714
I liked the interface, color scheme, basic layout. There seemed to be an overly heavy emphasis on fad diets, but give the people what they want, right? But the reason I switched back to another tracker was that the calorie database was just way too cumbersome to sort through. When you’ve been tracking for a while you get a sense of what foods contain X amount of energy. Way too many entries were either overestimating calories, underestimating calories, or giving a bizarre calorie per gram/ounce number despite the “serving” number being ok. I had to double check everything and that meant manually manipulating the metrics at least a couple times a day. So... that’s a no go for me. Still, probably the prettiest of the tracking apps, especially when you clear all those initial advertisements away.
  • Taking photo of the food

    By Neusinc
I hope this app can tell you the kind of food you are eating by taking photos of the food. So far this app. hasn’t been able to tell you the kind of food you are eating or how many carb , proteins or fat you are eating.
  • Wanted to love it

After two weeks apple heath step counts stopped syncing rendering my calorie intake for the day useless since I walk so much it drastically effects my calorie intake. Otherwise loved the app.
  • Inaccurate database

    By gdbjr
I really want to like this app. But the food database that they use is not very accurate. Scan 4 things in your home using the barcode and I would be shocked it is was correct more that 50% of the time. And if they can get this correct what other calculations are they doing that are also not accurate?

  • Hate.

I have requested to have this removed shortly after signing up, no more than a week. I have yet to hear from the developer or anyone else for that matter. I figured out how to remove subscriptions through my settings however it will not allow me to remove this one. I am not happy and I do not want to pay for an app that did not work for me. Nobody just has $44 laying around when going to college full-time. I really wish that there was a trial that I could have signed up for to get a feel of the app.
  • Awesome app!

I love the reminder notices and the easiness of use!
  • Add my own recipes

    By db3210
This app is easy to use and informative. It would be better if I were able to submit recipes I make on my own not included in the app. I would also like to be able to change recipes already included when I make adjustments like substituting or deleting ingredients.
  • Loving this!

Loving this APP! Considering purchasing the Premium.
  • Great app but buggy

    By ksajadi
Lifesum’s done a great job with diet goals and making recording food consumption easy (barcode scan database is impressive). However the calculations on the app are full of bugs and have always been so. One minute your Snack intake is 70 kcal under then you add a new item in Dinner and your Snack is 280 kcal over. Adding and removing food into the system can mess up with the numbers and many times I had to remove items and add them again for a correct total calculation. Overall it’s a very useful app if you want to lose, gain or maintain your weight and be healthy but it’s a shame the app quality is bad. Also, the app doesn’t take into account the overall consumption of calories when advising on individual item. For example cashew nuts get a bad rating because they are calorie intensive while that on its own is not a bad thing which is the whole point of a healthy diet: it’s not about individual items eaten but about the overall health of food consumption.
