Flixster - Showtimes + Tickets App Reviews

  • Doesn't Include All Theaters

    By ProllyBGood
This once-great app has decided to exclude several theaters in my area, theaters that used to show up. Until recently, you could pull up a movie in Flixster and see *all* the local theaters and showtimes for that movie. Now they send you elsewhere to see all choices. Flixster is now worse than a NEWSPAPER.
  • Was 5 stars... loved it.. now deleting it

    By Traderhut.com
Time to delete Flixster... (cr) app won't show me theaters that are my favorites anymore.... I have two by my house, 2 next to my kids (25 miles away), and right now, I am at work... ah, 30 miles from my house and 40 from my kids... So, this app now ONLY uses your location to figure out what movies you want to see in "local" theaters... Stupid junk. So, being at work, zero chance I can figure out what to watch tonight.. I can't easily check home.. and kids? Nope... the places I had favorited.. Totally GONE!! Are you kidding me!!! Why do people ruin apps like this!! Flixster >>> Trash can!!
  • Worked well until recent update

    By Simply jay
Everything works smoothly until I get to the point where I'm supposed to choose a seat. The app plus zoomed in on the "next" button and you can't see the seating map at all.
  • The new update has made the app completely unusable

    By bachwiz
Full-page popups with no way to close out of them mean the app must be reset every time they come up, losing all progress. Shame, it was such a useful tool before, now I’ll have to delete it.
  • Go back to the way it use to be

    By Bgoold11
This update doesn’t work at all I can’t look at movies on dvd or anything like I use to please change back
  • Awful

    By NBAWWE23
Been ever since the update in November it doesn’t show my over 950 ratings. But it shows the 40 I’ve rated since. Also no connectivity to the Rotten Tomatoes website. Awful, fix the app.
  • Terrible

    By kickbxer
The old format of this app was great, now it’s terrible. Please go back to the old format.
  • Very bad redesign!

    By FM_M
The usability of this app just plummeted. You took a really-useful screen that was a list view of current movies out, capable of showing a dozen or more titles at a time on an iPhone 6s, and changed it to a scrolling grid that can show 2 rows of 3 large images on an iPhone X. This is less useful, not more. The preference has list sort order; maybe make another preference for list vs poster. Also, particularly when sorted by weekend box office, I’d like to SEE the box office figures it’s sorting by. The single comprehensive overview of a movie is gone, split into two tabs (so now instead of information about the movie and tomatomometer scores to help me make my decision, the initial view is ticketing - but since I haven’t made my decision yet, it’s now two taps to get to the same info). The Consensus seems to be gone entirely, and you now only show three reviews by default. Overall, the app has dropped hard in usability. I’m sure, sitting around a conference room table, the still mock-ups of the new design made pretty pictures. But in terms of actually USING the app, it’s gone in a very bad direction. Good design is functional as well as attractive. I was able to access and understand more information more quickly with the previous design. I’m not against change, but this new design is increased fluff and decreased utility. Very disappointed.
  • Update is horrible

It is a pain to navigate; older version was significantly better
  • Bring the old ui back

    By CERO_Cesar
This new UI is just terrible. TERRIBLE. Listen to your customers and get the old one back!! And, are you kidding me? If you search "The Last Jedi" you get no results back. Immensely dumb.
