eBay: Discover Summer Deals App Reviews

  • Pretty good if ur a customer but not a seller

    By Settlersue
When you set up listings, it asked you if things are returnable like an apple iPhone BOX at Xmas. I say no. The customer buys it, uses it then destroys it & tries to return it after Xmas saying it arrived damaged. Ebay took the money out of my paypal account & refunded his purchase saying I couldn’t make things “non returnable”. Thanks for the screw job. Won’t be a seller anymore

  • Hate the new update

With the last update you couldn’t have but like 12 watched items now I only have 6 with this new update and it won’t let me add any more
  • Update: Missing Scheduled Listings Feature Has Returned

    By Need Location
Updated Review: the Scheduled Items option has returned to the app so I am content. Thanks! Original Review: Need this function back on the app. Without it, the app is useless to me.
  • Newest version gets 2 stars because of poor features

I've been using iPad to make ebay listings for about 5 years -- its one of the main reasons I use my iPad. eBay really whittles down the features when trying to sell, but it was tolerable until they changed the app settings to force "buy it now" prices for best offer. In my mind, there's no reason to even use this app anymore, especially for selling. Updated — 6/23/2018 After not using this app to sell things on eBay for at least a year I thought I would come back and try it. I sold an item through auction so I can’t yet verify if they are still forcing sellers to offer “best offer” for buy it now items, like with my previous review. I feel like there have been some improvements, but there are still parts of the app that are frustrating to me as a seller. I recently posted an iPhone and it waited until I was completely through the listing and trying to submit it to indicate an error that I had to choose a pre-defined and populated category when posting an iPhone. I appreciate that the app developers included verbose messages about the errors which allowed me to understand what was wrong. Unfortunately I could not easily find a way to go back (if there is a way?) and add a category to the listing so I had to completely make a new one. Making a listing can be a tedious process which includes writing paragraphs of information and doubly verifying all your fields are correct so that you do not miscommunicate with buyers about something you’re selling. Having to go back and re-create entire listings because of a workflow problem with eBay’s app is... frustrating enough to make it not worth using. Another example of a frustrating issue — there are still fields which are not fully editable in the app for selling. For instance, you cannot update your blurb about return policies (some time a return policy may change per item). There are headings for this information but it’s unclear if or where you can change it. I could not access my previously written statement about returns in the app and so, conceivably, I might have to log in to a browser. This is a long-standing frustration with the app when I originally wrote my 2-star review. This effectively renders this app pointless for selling, requiring an intervention from another device to finish a listing.
  • BAD UPDATE!!!!

    By Lgnitro2
Old purchased, previously deleted items, now show up on your purchases. There’s a reason for deleting! Purchase is done & received & finished! No longer want to see it!!!!!!
  • Easy app to use and order from

    By ladpinky27pink
Very easy to use this app on my IPhone and it is synced with my existing Ebay account. Easy browsing, I am able to always comparison shop & find free shipping, delivery address options, and the PayPal options are fabulous.
  • Horrible update, app unusable

    By Sharapstar
The ebay app was rocky to start but they actually improved it up until this latest update. Now my purchase history is showing hundreds of my past purchase from the last 3-4 years and I can’t even find my current purchases mixed in and the sorting option doesn’t work. I used to buy a lot of stuff from ebay so theres like 400 items of stuff now showing under purchase history. Not only is my purchase history wrecked, now when I try to look something up nothing I want shows up. When I search iPads with filters it won’t show anything but accessories even though I’m not under the accessories category. When I try to look up cars, only car parts comes up when I filter by year. I’m trying to look up 2016-2018 camaros and they only come up if I scroll through every single camaro from every single year. When I filter by year, body type, or transmission it shows no actual cars. Same deal for computers. I was trying to see if there were any good deals for All in one PC but when I filter with specific brand , processor, hard drive size or RAM it shows me everything but computers. So frustrating. Like I said I USED to buy from ebay, emphasis on USED to. Now i pay $6/month for amazon and order everything I used to get off ebay and then some. The $6 monthly fee is the equivalent to shipping for 1 item on eBay or walmart. Now im getting multiple items with free 2 day shipping. I don’t have to worry about getting scammed by a fake seller or somebody taking a week to ship an item, charging $10 for priority and then shipping it the slowest method possible. The only thing I still order from ebay is screen protectors and cases because they’re so much cheaper from china and I’m not in a hurry to get them. Id rather pay $1.50 and wait a month than pay $15 on amazon or $30 at the phone store to get it now. I only keep them as back up.
