Star Trek Fleet Command App Reviews

  • Mostly fun

    By Lutafistacious
I haven’t been playing super long but the game seems to crash every 5-10 minutes. I’m on an older iPad mini but still, I make sure to close all my other apps and this still happens. Nice graphics, entertaining game, but hope they get the bugs out.
  • Additions

An addition that should be added is one personal character where you can choose their major and customize their features
  • Great show, bad game!

    By Boon W.
Play at your own risk, you can’t get anywhere without sinking cash into it, it has so much potential and yet ... if you are looking for a game because you like the show(s), look at something else.
  • Pay to Win at its worst!

Game play is fun and very addictive. The soul of the Star Trek universe is destroyed in this game. The game is mainly based on combat and raiding. At around level 17 or so to keep up and advance you will have to buy packages. These packages can get real expensive. When you are raided by other players you can loose almost everything including all resources you paid for. The event system is won almost always by the same pay to win players, especially the alliance events. The events are all almost based on advancement or grinding. If you cannot log in and keep your base shields up you will be raided. If for any reason your base shield has a bug the developers are very reluctant to replace lost resources even paid for resources. Notices that y’our base is being attacked is also buggy so do not depend on them to keep your resources safe. The developers do not fix bugs quickly if ever. The developers will say you can do everything in game without investing money. This may be true but people who have invested $1000’s are in the mid 30’s level area and the game goes to 50th level. The videos and advertisements are very misleading on game play. Gathering resources is so slow as to be almost a waste. This game is fun, it is not Star Trek other than names and looks. The developer is the most money grubbing on helpful group I have ever seen. Getting Federation, Romulus, or Klingon faction ships is almost impossible without huge amounts of real money and weeks upon weeks of grinding. I would not advise or recommend to anyone without a nice fat wallet. If not you will be bullied and preyed upon by those who do have the cash. This game is not true to Star Trek and I would not recommend it to Star Trek fans either. I give it 2 stars because the game play is fun at least at first and has much potential if not for the money digging developers and pay to win system.
  • Avoid this game.

If you liked having your Lunch money stolen in school you will love this game. You will sink real time in real money into this game only to have all of your assets zeroed out by a player who spent thousands of dollars. The graphics are very nice I will not deny them that. But the gameplay is just horrible. It’s mostly a mining game some people say it’s a war game, but it is not. What happens is you put your ship out to mine if you don’t pay attention to it somebody will come destroy your ship and steal everything that you just mined. That’s fun, right? The quest structure is also equally bad. You finish three of the four requests in a chain and a fourth quest you cannot complete until you’ve upgraded about 15 to 17 times. So the quest just lingers there in your queue. That’s fun, right? Most of the upgrade packs are $100 each. There are some $50 ones but there is only one $20 pack and only one five dollar pack for upgrades. So you literally can spend a couple of hundred dollars and have it all wiped out in a few minutes. Real money. There are a group you can join in game but there are no group missions. Everybody still on their own but you do contribute some materials to the overall alliance. It’s easy to see how they spend their money. The game looks beautiful. But the gameplay is just horrible and that’s a shame. Skip this game find something else that will appreciate your time and money.
  • Started out fun quickly turned to hating the game

The game starts out fun, but to advance you need to spend money, lots and of money. At about level 18-19 the really bullies come out and destroy you ships when you are mining, bases need 24 shields or they will get attacked. The game had potential, need some serious tweaks
  • Dissatisfied

Over the past few months I’ve sprung for pack upgrades all the way up to $99.99, building my ships and station - I agree with previous review you’ll reach a point where you must pay to advance - sadly, you’ll have to start dumping money early on to get past plateaus. You’ll get a nice little cache of resources with an upgrade pack. BUT!!, check back only to find out your resources (just paid for) have been stolen by thieves/alliances that just gang rape your station. This has happened on numerous occasions. This is just like taking (real) $$$ from my wallet. If you pay money to play this game then other players SHOULD NOT be able to take from you what you $$$paid$$$ for. But, this game indirectly LEGITIMIZES thievery. If that doesn’t turn you off to buying upgrades then I don’t know what will. I’ll no longer be playing this game. If I could give zero star I would. If you, play don’t pay and throw your money away!!!!!

  • Endless mining

All u do is mining. Mining ship get destroyed by random timer al the time. The greatest star fleet capt is a miner.
  • They want your money

    By TheRavenMan
I wouldn’t have that much of a problem with this game if the micro transactions weren’t 20, 40, 60 or more dollars. You could buy some good games with that money. Every time you buy one thing not worth the money, a new purchase opens up that’s even more expensive and requires you to advance in the game.
