Mike's On App Reviews

  • Wanted it to be great

I’ve been listening to Mike since 1998. I sorely missed his Sunday show last year and I was willing to dish out the $8.99/mo at least through the football season. I might not make it. I use the app pretty much exclusively for the Sunday show, here’s why I may cancel. - You have to be in the app for it to run. Having one app hijack the entire phone to use it is inexcusable - There is no option to go audio only which leads to... - Kills your battery. Video running all the time and you can’t put it in the background. I listen when running errands like grocery shopping, with app being live it goes into full screen while rattling around in my pocket. - Uses too much data. Again video, All.The. Time. Noticed a sharp increase in data use since I’m listening to the live show while out running around without wi-fi. - if you do exit the app and go back it’s not very elegant. I’ve found it goes back to where you were or before. Fine, but if you drop out the app several times you are not getting a live stream and listening to the same content over and over. - Back afta dis. I get it, can’t go non-stop for 3 hours but total dead air during breaks?? Unless you are looking at your phone there is no way to know if the app is still running. If it’s user error on the video only (on iPhone) I’d love to hear the solution, that would solve a lot of issues. For 8.99 a month this is not numba one effort.
  • 9$/month? Haha

Thought I’d take a look but no way, man.
  • Can’t Believe It!

Why would I pay $9.00 a month for this. I pay $20 a year for the MLB App and can get play by play and news for all teams. This is crazy and I like Mike!

  • The fee is a joke

    By BrendanAlias
So far off base on the fee. Will not even consider purchasing until the price is dramatically reduced. Pathetic money grab. Include ads, make it free.
  • Zero support

    By Crabman1234
I paid $100 and i got the new iphone and now i cant login it says i have to pay again. I went to restore purchase it says success but didnt work. There is no email, phone number or any way possible to contact them so i paid $100 and now cant access the app. You cant have any expensive app like this with zero support. To launch like that is bad on there part
  • Red Ticket Blues is a better experience

    By brianbuck13
Mike used to be good, but the Red Ticket Blues Podcast is better in terms of sheer entertainment.
  • Way too expensive

By John on the car phone
For this price Mike should be broadcasting 24/7.
