  • Slow/unreliable

Worked the first time but now download keeps returning to 5%. Not reliable enough to be worth the long wait for downloads
  • Keeps saying I need to sign into ICloud

    By Choyla
Have signed out and back into iCloud and restarted phone, but can’t ever get past this error message to sign into iCloud-which I already am signed into!
  • Cannot get it to work

    By Howardd21
I have had this for a week, and after repeated attempts I am calling it quits. I tried various length podcasts of a few minutes to almost an hour. It is very erratic, sometimes it gets to over 50%, but a few minutes later it is at 8%. No method to the madness, and no success.

I love this app! I have an Apple Watch Series2 with IOS 4, and it works great. It allows you to download podcasts from your iPhone Apple podcast app directly to your Apple Watch for offline listening- leave your phone at home! It can take 5-10 min to download a podcast so a bit of planning is needed but I think that’s a Watch limitation, not the app’s fault. The watch does not need to be on the charger to transfer podcasts so you can do it on the go. Great app- thank you MiniCast!
  • This app Works!!

    By leslieaza
This app DOES work! After much analysis I realized the Apple Watch just does NOT support podcasts (standalone or stream). After listening to Marco P describe his frustrations with Watch OS4 and his Overcast attempt at this functionality, we are lucky MiniCast is available!! Downloads are indeed slow (the longer the podcast episode, the longer the download), but they eventually work. This is a shortcoming of the Apple Watch OS4 not Minicast!! If you can be patient with this part you will be happy with the podcast functionality on the Watch.

    Never works!!!!!!
  • Clever workaround, despite watchOS limitations

The negative reviewers here aren’t aware of watchOS’s limitations that make podcasts a less than ideal experience on the watch. That said, this app does work. Read the developers short medium post before leaving a bad review. Then, ask Apple to bring full podcast support to the watch.
  • Worthless

Paid $3.99 to have transfers that take longer than most podcast episodes. Transferring a one hour podcast and it's at 11% after ten minutes. Reminds me of dialup. Not convinced it isn't the fault of Apple rather than the developers of this app, but that's irrelevant to the end user.
  • 1.0.3 not working

    By Kraonn
1.0.2 worked; 1.0.3 downloads get to 100% and then disappear- episodes never become playable. Bummer because it’s probably not really the dev’s fault, but the app currently doesn’t work.
  • Bogus in app purchase.

    By Abbadonn
Despite being marked free, the app has zero functionality until you do a $4 in app purchase. If it cost $4 outright I’d have no problem paying for the app, but I refuse to pay an in app purchase for an app just to unlock what it’s supposed to do.
