Alleys App Description

About the Game: Alleys is an adventure experience in which the player explores a theme park world full of quaint alleys that would fit perfectly in small towns in the English countryside. The gameplay is simple, with fewer of the complicated elements often found in puzzle games. All the player needs to do is to search for passageways, gather resources, and get immersed in the exquisite graphics and noir atmosphere. The player is free to choose where to go and can solve puzzles in any order to escape. Background Story of Game: Alleys is a large-scale escape room hosted by a theme park, and the player is a tourist who has decided to take part in the escape experience. The player wanders through a fictional old English-style town, collects resources, solves puzzles, and overcomes obstacles to gradually discover the backstory woven throughout the alleys. In the end, the player finds the exit gate and escapes. MAIN FEATURES: 1. Alleys Exploration The players must find the way through complicated alleys, buildings, and sewers. 2. Check in to Proceed Accumulate points by activating the check-in stations found in new locations. Certain areas require a specific number of points to enter. 3. Freely Choose Your Route Alleys is a non-linear adventure puzzle game with no predetermined route. The player is free to explore and can escape the game as long as the conditions required to open the town exit gate are fulfilled. 4. Collect Resources Player decides how to use the keys and other resources collected in the game. The decisions the player makes will affect the difficulty of the game. 5. Solve Riddle on Tool Cards Every Tool Card is its own little riddle. Figure out the meaning of the illustration to find out what the card can be used for. 6. Simple Controls No need for virtual controllers—just swipe and tap to easily move around and interact with items.

  • I’ve been stuck for days now

This is an amazing game, but there are no good walkthroughs available. Although I haven’t needed one til now- there is no information out there to help me escape Chester Wilcox house. Why does it tell me I can’t use my tool card (yet)?

Alleys is a great game that lets you go at your own pace, and never leaves you at a loss of what to do. There are a lot of details and places to explore, and it really rewards players’ curiosity. This is a game I would love to play in VR!
  • Surprisingly Addictive...Stick with It!

Although I wasn’t hooked when first playing Alleys, it didn’t take me long to find myself staying up until 3am trying to beat the game! What seems at first like a simple collect-all-the-resources game hides an intriguing mystery spooled out at just the right moments to keep you hooked. Especially if you can pick it up on sale, buy this game...and stick with it!

Finally someone broke the mold of making us run all over to chase down obscure clues that weren’t all that clever. The game was easy to learn and was extremely clever with hints. Loved it!
  • I really want to love this game but...

As a big fan of The Room games and House of Davinci, I really like the attention to detail in the graphics in the Alley game but... 1) the controls are terrible. First, one minute, the game doesn’t respond to your touch to turn and the next you are spinning out of control. Very inconsistent. 2) as others have noted, when you go through a door that has no graphics behind it (cutscreen?), I get dumped out to the iOS screen and have to restart the game. Annoying but manageable until... 3) upon restarting, hitting the continue button give me the little chime sound but the screen never changes. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling but now I got the crash even earlier in the game. PLEASE fix it! Otherwise I’m stuck waiting for the next chapter of House of DaVinci.

  • Game crashes on iphone6-for the developers

My original review is below. Just wanted to know if you r working on a new release version to fix the crashing issue. If not, I’ll stop checking for updates, and give up on the game like so many others who have the same problem. Might be a good game, but hard to tell when it crashes every time you enter a new area. I have to restart the game, and twice the option said start vice continue. So you had to start over. Tried re-downloading, no luck, same problem. iPhone 6. iOS 12.1.4. Finally gave up. Will try to wIt for the next update to fix it. Response the developers. iPhone 6, iOS 12.1.4. It always crashes/closes every time the circle with the dots comes on when changing scenes, like entering the library, opening the door where the bus is, for example. When I reopen the app, it says continue, and it picks up where I left off. However, after 6-7 of these transitions, The game crashes, and when I reopen it, the only option is start, vice continue, then the game will not open at all. I’ve tried deleting the game and reinstalling numerous times, always the same. Hope this helps!
  • Crashes just as bad as before

Got a note from the developer in response to my earlier review so I just gave the game another try. Crashed the first time I went from the library area towards the bus. It’s worse for me now than before.
  • Two bugs with the current version (as of 3/14)

I like the new additions, however there are two bugs, one which is merely annoying and one which might be game breaking. Don’t know how to contact for bug reports, so.... 1. If you’ve gotten achievements already (it auto gives you achievements if you’ve already played and got the update, which was the case for me, haven’t checked if it happens with a fresh install) and you get an achievement with a new run, the achievement notification repeatedly comes up. Only workaround I found is to uninstall and reinstall. 2. In the second staff room, if you open the toolbox, it says you got a tool card, but no card actually appears and the game freezes up. Got around it by rebooting iPad, but no new tool card showed up when I loaded the app back up.

Hi! I absolutely ADORE this game. I cannot express how wonderfully thought-evoking it is. My first playthrough took me a while (I like to find EVERYTHING), but I was enthralled the entire time. I just could not get my hands off my phone!! That being said, I’m not a huge fan of the newest update. The character addition was a good thought, but I feel that it changes the atmosphere from “abandoned mystery town,” to “DEFINITELY an amusement park.” Of course, if that was the intention, you guys nailed it, but I preferred the idea of exploring a real, uninhabited town, and piecing together what truly happened there. I’m not picky, so I like it nonetheless. But the achievements. I LOVE the fact that you added achievements. It makes me want to do more playthroughs to try and beat my previous time, or find new secrets. But that’s not the issue. Once you get an achievement, it will flash up on the left of the screen. I was like, “oh, wonderful!” But then... It doesn’t go away. AGHHHHH!!! This is SO frustrating to me!!! Please please please fix this!!! I really want to give 5 stars, but I just can’t with a bug like this. Keep up the good work devs. Can’t wait until this game blows up. :)
