Buddha Quotes: inspirational quotes, thoughts & sutras on topics like mindfulness, attachment, calm, focus, anger and the dhamma - believed to be the word of the historical Buddha (aka Siddarta Gautama, Buddha Shakyamuni, the Arhat). Buddhism Scriptures: quotes from dozens of devotional scriptures including the Dhammapada, Tripitaka (Vinaya Pitaka, Sutta Pitaka, Abhidhamma Pitaka), Nikaya, Udana, various suttas / sutras, & more. Discover the concepts of Dhamma, Karma, Mara, Samsara, Nirvana, the Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold Path, Bodhi sattva and more. Buddhist Philosophy: wisdom from all traditions including Zen, Theravada, Mahayana, Pure Land, Vipassana, Tantric & more. Quotes from Buddhist bikkhus & ajahns (monks) and philosophers ranging from the Dalai Lama to Jack Kerouac. Daily Quotes: receive a Buddhist quote of the day every day, whether it's an inspirational quote from Buddha, the Dalai Lama, or a Koan or mantra to meditate on. Share with friends: find your inspiration then easily share your favorite Buddha Quotes on social media & spread the buddhist philosophy & wisdom. Note: mindfulness is great! But be mindful that there is more to Buddhism and zen than just mindfulness meditation. This specific app is focused on Buddha quotes, Buddhist philosophy, spiritual devotionals, and the dhamma / dharma (path to enlightenment or nirvana) rather than just the technique of guided meditation or mindfulness reminders. So by all means be calm, chill, focus, get into your headspace, meditate - those are all good simple habits, but this app focuses instead on what Buddha called: "Other matters, profound, hard to see, hard to understand, peaceful, excellent, beyond mere thought, subtle, to be understood only by the wise" (Brahmajala Sutta 1) Are you ready for the journey? • Disgusting

Your app is disgusting for trying to bait people for money.
  • Shenanigans - Stay away!

Downloaded this app as a free trial and was charged immediately. Deleted from device, but subscription charges continue to be made. Very unhappy. Attempts to both turn off subscription and recoup money stolen have been ineffective. A poor reflection on the both App Developer and the Apple App Store. Refunding my $32 would be a good start to smoothing this over.
  • Very suspicious. Not trustworthy. Don’t download

I was going to get this But every time I hit free trail or anything it says “cannot connect to App Store” it will literally force you to do the payment options. However. It’s not trustworthy to even try that. I also wanted to point out my friend got this and she showed me it before she deleted it. It’s DEFINITELY not worth the how much they want you to pay. It’s just simple quotes and stuff you can easily get online or on another app for free. And the fact they are even making you pay is absolutely wrong and disrespectful to the teachings of Buddha, especially with how EXPENSIVE they have it. I agree with the other reviews on here. It’s horrible. You can easily find other ways to keep the app alive like OTHER apps do. Also the $7 a week is why my friend deleted and she also hated that she couldn’t just cancel it so easily. Even after deleting and cancling in the App Store Settings it charged her. She had to go through her bank to get it stopped. Honestly it seems like a scam. Just like the rest of their apps. But if it’s not then they REALLY need to find a better way in doing this. Cause no one is gonna join unless they are absolutely stupid.

Be mindful and beware........I downloaded this app and I never agreed or ever saw anything, about a cost for this app and just found out they've been taking 7.99 out of my iTunes app account now every week now for the last 5 weeks! They charge you 7.99 a WEEK, May be worth it, I don't know, what I do know, is I was expecting budha quotes etc not 7.99 a week app. I'm going to practice patience and tolerance because I really want to scream and be super angry!
  • Being charged when I deleted it!!!!

    By Shundalblakat
I’m so annoyed to find I’m being charged $7.99 for an app that I accidentally, and apparently purchased!!!! I deleted it after looking at it and realizing it is nothing at all that I am interested in PAYING for. I’ve looked and can’t seem to find a convenient place to delete this membership or whatever is allowing this scammer company to continually charge my bank account. There’s a place to contact them, and I entered the address....nothing comes up!! DO NOT EVEN LOAD THIS CRAP APP ONTO YOUR PHONE! It’s apparently a SCAM!! I’ve reported it to Apple. I want OUT!!! I want this canceled immediately, yet they make it near impossible to do so. I don’t want to give it any stars but that’s not an option....I had to give at least one. So annoyed.....
  • Scam...stay away

This app charges $8 weekly for basically nothing. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!
  • Riddles not Buddhism

From what I can tell so far, this app is just a bunch of intellectually challenging play on words, not necessarily the type of engaging buddhism app you’d hope for after paying $30 a month for.... kind of bummed out about it honestly. And I’ve practiced formal meditation daily and consider myself a contemporary Bon Tibetan Buddhist practitioner so I don’t say this from a western point of view. I have read several books also... just expected more I guess.
  • Y so much

    By Ravings.of.a.Mad.Man
Buddha looking down on you would be very disappointed trying to charge for his teachings. I have three other apps thought a fourth would bring me to enlightenment sooner.
  • Buddha did not charge $30 for a list of quotes
