    I’ve been trying meditation off and on for years without success. While I haven’t gotten too far in the app yet, I no longer dread sitting down to meditate and am finally starting to feel progress. Furthermore, the lessons are amazing - some are fairly specific to the practice of meditation, while others provide powerful lessons and tips that one can apply to day-to-day life outside of a meditation practice. I am a happy premium subscriber and just hope that Dr. Harris continues to produce more content.

    I have been practicing mindfulness and yoga for about 20 years now! I am also a practicing psychotherapist that utilizes mindfulness teachings daily with my patients. I highly recommend this app for someone who is new or who values continued learning and teachings with mindfulness.     I have been a fan of Sam Harris for over a decade. He is exceptionally well spoken, and maintains his composure even through heated debates. His past experiences in exploration of different mind states, being a neuroscientist among many other things have all come together to be a leading candidate to produce this work, the “waking up” app. I personally have sat under many meditators, some so so and some not so great. And this hits the ball out of the park. His daily Meditations are pure, without any spiritual dogma attached. My partner is new to meditation and it’s allowed her to feel and understand the benefits on her own, rather than being told. Paradoxically he subtly reenforces how beneficial the simple practice is. I have since recommended this app to numerous friends. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you and your team for putting this out into the world, uploading ancient wisdom onto our smart phones. Big love

    Working through the daily mediations is slowly but surely improving my ability to recognize thoughts and give them the allowance they deserve in a healthy, constructive way. Definitely recommend giving the app a try if you haven’t already. Also their support is incredibly useful if you have any questions or concerns.

    I am biased, positively, even though I have become a fan of Harris rather recently. His calm, patient and heartfelt approach to topics and meditation make me recognize a kindred spirit in this human condition called living. The app seems well thought out. Not too complicated with too many options and buttons. I’ve done the practice thru day 17 without a crash and listened to his gratitude talk a couple of times, which I highly recommend! I look forward to completing the course and then I’ll see how I use the app, since I have an almost daily practice with the Insight Timer. To Sam and the app team, keep up the great work!
