  • Great potential, needs work

The app idea is fantastic and a great fit for quickly developing an idea through dialogue. If the execution was more polished I’d give this a 5 star. I downloaded and bought the app last night and: - Stability is poor; in 3 hours of usage, it crashed 9 times. It didn’t loose any significant data but is frustrating. I also couldn’t delete characters because it would crash every time. - Adding dialogue anywhere but the bottom is painful, unless I’m missing something. You can’t place a cursor and add dialogue there, you have to drag each . Want to add to the middle? Get ready for a lot of scrolling and dragging from the bottom - Feeling lost in setting menus. There’s a few versions and it was hard to remember which option was which settings screen (app, screenplay, scene) it was at. - Cant duplicate or copy scenes would be a nice feature (I write sketch, Which are 2-3 pages. I would use scenes as draft stages for a single script so it’d be nice to be able to copy it) Overall I’d say download it and try it out. It’s a great idea, hopefully it can get some updates soon.
  • Near Perfection

The idea for this app is 100% PERFECT. It makes screenwriting easier. I enjoy writing on it a lot. They need to fix the app crashing. They should add on better title page customization. It looks too plain. I’d like to see it say written by in it or by the author. I’d also like to see a parenthetical option for dialogue. That would be helpful. Also a transitions option would be amazing so the script looks cleaner when you export. Please add these changes!
  • Intuitive Screenplay app

    By KillerRifle97
I’ve used other screenplay writing apps and this one I really prefer. It’s very easy to write a script and is very organized and simple. However it can be improved in certain areas such as adding a details for characters made or writing a synopsis or summary for the screenplay you are writing. I like the features for copyright, making the characters easy to add to a scene and the template to describe a scene. However the app does glitch when selecting characters to add to a scene. For example if I select 3 ontop of the roster and scroll down to select 2 when I go back to the top to be sure everything is set the characters are deselected and there’s no way to choose the ones I wanted for the scene. This on version 1.0.3 on iOS 11.3.1. But overall it’s a really good app I recommend it for anyone that enjoys writing and making a story!

Unable to type on keyboards other than the English keyboard. I wish I could type words in my mother language.
  • I Think You Might Just Have Something Here,

I think I'll start this review by asking a question, have you guys heard of voiceover? If not, voiceover is a built in screen reading software that allows visually impaired people to use an IOS device. I am blind, and decided to check this app out because hey I'm kinda bored and I like to write and even though screenplays aren't really my forte I like chat stories so might as well check it out. So I did, and was surprised of how accessible it was. I am able to create a screenplay, make and edit characters, and scenes. But ... there is one thing I can't quite figure out. A very crucial part I might add. How do I switch characters? There doesn't seem to be a button for it that voiceover can see, and I don't think there's one selected already. I also tried the website you recently launched and that didn't work. But now you have a mode for just writing stories? Get out! Wait, no come back I'm still talking to you! Usually I wouldn't say anything about this since voiceover isn't really something that everybody knows about especially if they aren't blind, but I really like the concept of this app and would love to use it especially the new version (which I'm not sure if it'll be just the website or the app I'm fine with either but would prefer the latter) and if you fixed these things I would happily pay $2.99 for the full version and let it be a permanent fixture in my pocket writing toolbox also known as the great and powerful iPhone XR. Scratch that ... I would nervously ask my mom if I could borrow $2.99 off her card to buy the full version and have it as a permanent fixture in my pocket writing studio along with scrivener and Voicedream Writer. Either way thank you for reading and I hope you keep this in mind.
  • App Crashes! Please fix!

    By Awesomepossum99
I loved the way the app allowed me to easily format my screenplay and export a PDF. So after writing my first page and wanting to add more characters, I decided to pay the 2.99 to upgrade to the full version of the app. Once I did that, the app started crashing whenever I tried to write more lines!! I’m very disappointed because I wanted to write multiple screenplays using this app. I would give it 5 stars if I could actually use it because this app is a great concept!
  • App keeps crashing

    By Kenderlate
I brought this app yesterday. I was using just fine then it asked me updated to the unlimited version. I said to myself I like this app paying $2.99 is not bad. I considered it as an investment money well spent, right? I was wrong. The moment I updated to the paid version, the app keeps crashing now I can’t even use it. I turned off my phone thinking maybe it was my phone then turn back on still same problem. All my other apps are working just but this one keep turn off by itself whenever I try to type a word. This is trash. Don’t waste your money. I wish I can give it 0 star cause it’s wasting of time and money.
  • Mystery of the missing lines.

    By oneighthree
Excellent concept. It really provides an ease of use with creating banter between characters. I haven’t experienced any of the mentioned crashes, but I hope to see some improvements in the way of the exports. Once I’ve exported, there are always lines missing from context.
  • No Updates?

    By DaveKratz
Company said they’d be updating and adding features months ago. It’s a great idea but not well supported. Wish I hadn’t bought into it...
  • Landscape mode..iPad version

    By Herlo?
So the app is killer. It just needs landscape mode so I can use with keyboard and iPad Pro. I would even pay more. This is absolutely the fastest way to make a vomit draft! Especially when working from a pile of cards. Keep up the good work and i'll give it 5 stars!
