  • Sorely disappointed

    By joed3
I have 15 accounts that should auto-update. In total, 3 updated at last “synch”. At the price paid, I expect this software to work properly. It does not. While it initially links, it stops updating at that point. Deleting and reimporting gets you the correct balance. No option to import any file type from your bank which most have available. I would very much like to add some history as that would lead to better budgeting. Since synch doesn’t work, it never presents an accurate picture. I ask the author to fix this program or refund my full purchase price. I prefer the fix to have a working program as this is exactly what I want if it worked.
  • Incredible app!

    By Ebert123
This app is absolutely incredible! I have it on my iPad iPhone and iMac. They sync together absolutely perfectly. I use to use Microsoft money years ago, and haven’t been able to find anything robust until I found this. These people thought of everything in the design is absolutely incredible! Thank you for designing this
  • Not worth the price as a standalone app-cost/value dissapointing

    By Wallywl
I was shocked to see the $20 price tag, more shocked I paid it to give it a try. Had not used since 2015. While the ability to personalize categories is nice, and envelope budgeting may appeal to some, after a few weeks of use I am going back to Mint. Some shortfalls: "real" account balance is not visible, only the calculated value based on downloaded transactions. Budgets, once input, are only visible for the current month. No way to "sanity check" that the other months were input correctly. No visibility to all transactions in a current month for all accounts, have to look account by account. No visibility to pending transactions from Chase Bank. Mint seems to update accounts on a more regular basis within the day. No ability to print any kind of summary reports. I suspect this is a great companion app for Mac users that use the full program, but as a standalone app, Mint provides a similar, and in some cases more robust solution for no charge (albeit some limited ads in IOS versions.) Support as of late is very slow to non existant.
  • Better than Quicken

    By LisaD68
I had so many issues and bugs and restarts with Quicken. Thank goodness for this program!! Just one thing I wish it did though more like Quicken: giving the option to quickly see today’s online balance. But better reports, better mobile syncing, better reconciling, etc. very happy.
  • Tracks it all

    By TN.Steve
I am responsible for the finances of two households, perhaps 2 dozen accounts, including CDs, checking, savings, personal loans given. Banktivity handles it all, makes tax season easy, let’s me sleep at night, reports overcharges that the credit card company cannot, such as time I bought a gift at overseas airport that showed up in Banktivity with the decimal point 2 places to the right. ($1600 for a mug and some chocolate.) without Banktivity, I would have discovered about 3 weeks after the error, instead of the day after I arrived home.
  • second class app

    By networkguy923
don’t try the ipad version of banktivity expecting a first class app on par with the mac, the developers clearly don’t view it as such. its not all improved over the previous ipad app, and i don’t know why it is a paid upgrade. i really hope the developers realize the ipad is the future.
  • Print checks please

    By BD app
Disappointed that the iPad version is not a full version of this software. I have the full version on my iMac and can print checks, print reports, balance my checking account etc. However since we travel extensively and I only have my iPad Pro with me when gone for several weeks it would be helpful to do all of these things on the iPad Pro. Any chance of this ever happening ?
  • No reconciling or reports or ability to change date order?

    By nonname2K
I like the desktop version of this and am in the process of downgrading from computer to iPad. This app version is so not what I expected. Some of the simplest things have been left out. Please fix. This is the 21st and people are more inclined to have tablets than laptops.
  • Took the plunge—free mobile encrypted cloud sync

    By Don A7
The new tags are great! Fast on cable and on AT&T cellular. I could not get my originally-created-in-2011 Macintosh document to sync with iPad, iPhone, or even create a new document from cloud on the Macintosh. Not sure if it was my dozens of custom categories, most with sub-categories no longer needed since we now have tags, or something else. I saved the old Macintosh document as an archive, and started from scratch using the new framework. If you are okay with the changes Apple made since iOS 9, the new structure is nice!
  • Not Very Happy

    By PapaBear2632
I can’t find a way to schedule out reoccurring payments, or even how to edit a transaction that I just put in as a mistake. How can you have money management software that doesn’t allow to edit transactions??? I would like a refund for this application.
