MasterClass: Learn New Skills App Reviews

  • App crashes and won’t launch

    By D1234km
After the new year, something broke, and the app doesn’t work anymore. Pity.
  • Frozen

    By The Karp
Why is this app still frozen on the loading screen?!
  • Not working at all

    By MushOn
I was able to install, pay for a year and started a class online while downloading other class material. This morning the app won’t start anymore, hangs on the splash screen then closes. Reinstall and reboot of my iPhone didn’t help
  • Teaching

    By Michael A Summers
The process of teaching through such a medium and be difficult. As I’ve observed dead mau5 and hanz Zimmer explain their respective crafts and their individual styles it takes me back to a day in high school listening or watching these creations for the first time. I’ve always enjoyed the arts and watching these people perform is inspiring to say the least. From film to cooking each name brings a new perspective to the chopping block. My only interest now is weather you will be able to contact a hip hop artist with the same insight. Keep up the great work guys, I look forward to watching this evolve.
  • App works again - all good & 4 stars

    By TGeist
Update 1/18/2019 After updating to version 5.1.2 everything works again! 4 stars now (one off for room to improve with usability). To be on the safe side I uninstalled the old version, restarted the iPad and then installed the current version. ______________________________ Update 12/27/2018 Version 5.1.1 still crashes on my iPad. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app - nothing has changed. You definitely didn’t keep me happy over the holidays. ___________________________ Yes, as others stated the current version of the app constantly crashes. Really disappointing in my case because I’ve downloaded lessons I wanted to watch on my 8 hour flight right now. Several other people have already confirmed that the app crashes so it’s not an isolated issue. I will also request an extension of my subscription for the days until a working update is available because for $180 I’d expect a fully working app.
  • Downloads don’t show offline or online

    By Kyotocharm
I have an all access pass. I downloaded the three classes I wanted to take so I could study offline on my IPad. The first time I had no problems, the videos were on my download page. Since then all the videos do not show up on my download page even when I am on wifi. It’s frustrating as I now go days without watching a single video and have to keep redownloading the videos I have yet to watch. It’s frustrating and wasting too much of my time.
  • The classes won’t stay downloaded :(

    By miki2028
I use MasterClass across devices (mobile, laptop, tablet). When you go to the downloads section of the account settings it’ll show the classes that were downloaded and then when you exit and return, none of the classes will be there. When you go to the individual class listing it’ll show the mobile/downloaded icon indicating that lesson was downloaded, it won’t play (I’ve had several weeks of testing this behavior out in stopped/stuck bused and trains). :( The content is wonderful but the downloads issue is insanely frustrating and makes it so that I can only consistently use it when I have cell reception (which isn’t available for most of my morning and afternoon commute) or at home if I’m not already worn out.
  • Why do I have to update this app all the time?

    By Isbereine qq
It hassles me way too often? It just plays videos—don’t overthink it.
  • iPad app is horrible

    By Young Nicky
Your iPad app is built horribly, it keeps crashing and does not work at all. Please fix this
  • Fun learning

Bought the unlimited package. Completed the wine reviewing session already. I am interested in a few more session and look forward to watching. The cost may be justified if you enjoy an organized format of fun-facts on available topics. Otherwise, a round of informative YouTube videos may suffice.
