HP JetAdvantage Capture App Reviews

  • Not impressed

Found App to be substandard and with multiple daily compatibly issues, including continuous showdowns.
  • Only good if you don’t care about quality

I like the fact that it can easily find and interface with the scanner on my multi function printer, And aside from fairly limited cloud connectivity options, iCloud not being among them, it was promising in terms of being able to set up, and scan profiles and then one touch scan documents and share them with other iOS applications. Unfortunately, it does not have all of the capabilities that the scanner itself does, namely, it cannot scan in just black-and-white, there is not an option for “no compression,” and although it can do duplex scanning unlike the so-called HP Smart application yet does something different between the first and second pages of documents that causes the second page to be larger than the first and also suffers from greater compression artifacts. So if you care about scan quality and Want to be able to use all of the features built in to your multi function scanner, you will need to stand and operated from the scanner or a more capable software on another platform.
