  • Night mode / going offline warning/ out of airport queue

    1. We have to have night mode because when you’re working in the night and the screen is so bright it’s pain 2. Dear are so many warnings when you go from one mother to another mode button by mistake if you touch the on off button get off without giving a warning that if you want to go off-line or not 3. If you are in a black mold or Alex mode at the airport Q after meeting I was and I was you don’t get a call and you try to get on normal Lyft or a shared ride if you turn the mold it will throw you back in the line so all the Waiting goes in vain

    Please implement a night mode. Screen is very distracting when it is so bright even with brightness turned down. Also make it easier for drivers to CALL support. It took me 20 minutes clicking through different help links that weren’t answering my questions to find a contact by phone link.

    The Lyft drivers app needs an update that provides drivers all the options to input their vehicle make and model. Ex. Hyundai / Accent. Or the update should change the cars make and model after uploading a picture of the car’s registration that already provides the vehicle make, model and year.

    I been doin Lyft since feb 19 and I will tell you it’s a great idea but the way they treat you is ridiculous they will believe anything someone says and will deactivate your account for no reason .. worst part is they dont even reach out to you and won’t respond for days I have recieved over 500 5 star ratings and it means nothing.. so if it’s your only means of income I wouldn’t count on them to have your back even if you are a great driver

    I go out on the busiest times and it looks like it’s busy it’s actually red... so I think that yellow thing is just a lie so drivers go out chasing it to get absolutely nothing... I was super near it and nothing... as soon as I approach it boom it disappears... happens every time... oh and if I start writing on the app that I'm not getting any rides, boom I get a ride immediately so I can't finish writing, it never fails. This needs to be fixed. Before they made this BS update everything was fine. They took off prime which is the reason why drivers go out to work on holidays, when it’s raining, or when it’s snowing. Fourth of July was busy but I remember last year that I made way more because of prime. I’ve contacted support because i know I’m not the only one not getting ride requests. It’s ridiculous. We shouldn’t waste our gas chasing a urine stain on the map that even if we’re drowning in that stain we’re still not getting anything. And every update they come up with is worse than the last how’s that possible? Stop listening to the riders and treat your drivers better without drivers you have nothing. Riders will still request lyft because it’s cheaper than Uber even with prime. And what’s with this personal bonus thing? They put it on where there’s absolutely nothing and the max it goes to is 3 dollars. What the hell? I hope on the next update they fix these issues. Unless they’re doing this to push out drivers from their company.

    Let’s be a bit more candid when advertising. I earn when I want about 1/4 of the time I open the Lyft app. 3/4 of the time the darn switch is locked and I can’t drive using your app. But it’s ok I guess if you prefer Uber to get the money instead.
  • Be prepared for half of your fare to be taken

    Ever since Lyft has went public they have cheated their drivers out of half of their fares and gives us horrible bonuses if any. If you want to work for a rideshare that treats their drivers well I would apply to HopSkipDrive. They pay their drivers well and treat them well. Use Lyft as something part time because they are up there with Uber as far as being shady. When I started with them a year ago I was happy with them. Now they are no different than Uber. I heard uber is better because at least they offer their drivers good bonuses. BEWARE!!!

    So i have a 2013 Infiniti G37 which is almost in mint condition. When i tried to sign up it is telling me i need a newer car or need to rent from Lyft. That is an absolute F’ing joke. The area i live in , i see old beat up cars and mini vans with the Lyft light and sticker. I’d like to know what is wrong with my car?

    Now there’s multiple prompts to arrive, pickup a rider, more multiple to complete the ride. Far too many screen touches required now. PD have no sense of humor on this. Initial alert/invite to accept a ride shows persons name in 1-2 point font. Unreadable. Persons name shows up on new I’m here button but that’s too late. And if you click the . . . Rider button, name too small to read. User Interface 101 folks! Don’t you have QA people that actually use these updates to confirm they work right before you push them out? Today I was in a peak area, in peak time (HIGH based on forecast) and sat for 60 minutes. No rides. Tried again later, caught a quick three $4 rides, then nothing again. Also this update no longer lets you select car orientation vs North orientation of map. So it caught me off guard a bit. Checked every menu, every icon, no luck. And on one of those 3 rides it was multiple passengers but that wasn’t included in their ride request (and no way for driver to increment number of riders). If the value add of LYFT is to handle routing, ride requests, and driver app, you’d think the driver app would justify the cost drivers are paying for this awful sub par solution. Lastly, if you offer a “41 minute” ride, at the beginning of rush hour, that ultimately means I’m spending 90 minutes driving to destination but then 2-2.5 hours to get back, you need to charge more. This happened to me 3 X last week. Net income for such rides (when I include return travel time back to county I’m allowed to pickup in), it comes out to $15 an hour ($13 if you take gas into consideration). This isn’t sustainable. BUT......... Oddly enough, LYFT is still better than UBER. Uber is an even bigger mess. Kept getting sent 15 miles to a pickup to drive rider 1 mile then the 15 miles back. 30 miles for a $3 fee. Took 1.25 gallons of gas at 3.49 a gallon. Needless to say I stopped driving for Uber completely. So they are truly a mess. So LYFT I challenge you to up your game, test your apps properly and use a control beta group of drivers BEFORE you release updates. Oh and stop relying solely on San Francisco user groups for feedback. They do NOT accurately represent the rest of the USA cities.
