It records reruns of shows. I don't want it recording a marathon of old episodes. Needs Comedy Central. Edit: no it's not about storage space it's about clutter and being organized. Make things easier to find. Second edit: I had a show recorded and it got deleted. If there’s infinite storage space it never should’ve been deleted. If I could give negative stars I would.

Constantly freezes. Also, could be a bit more user friendly when navigating through the app.
  • CASTING ISSUES

I love this app and it works really well on my iphone as long as I am not chromecasting to my TV. I went out and bought a newer Chromecast because my old one had connection issues with the mobile app and now the newer generation is having even worse problems. If you fix this portion of the app and allow me to chromecast with fewer issues I would give a better rating.
  • Sharing with Family does not work

I’m standing right next to my wife, also try with my brother and for some reason it keeps telling me that they are not in the same country as me... I tried resetting and doing everything on the book, even uninstalling the app and still does not work. That was the only reason I joined but it seems like as soon as the free trial is done I’m out. I also wish they have more content...

There is no DVR. If you’re watching a program and pause. It does not allow you to resume where you were. It is not remember where you were. You have to find the episode you were watching. And then locate where you Last watched. Imagine what happens if you have a long pause. It’ll take you a while to figure out where you were. And as you scroll through programs it will stop every few moments to make you watch the commercial breaks. Some of which are several minutes long. Which you cannot fast-forward through. Want to fast forward through a movie? Each time you do so you have to sit through 3-4 minutes of commercials. Each time. Trying to find where you paused a movie to go to the bathroom or go to the kitchen for some water… Google TV forces you to watch 12 minutes of commercials (four minutes of commercials each time you hit fast forward). I don’t remember my cable DVR forcing me to do this. 12 minutes of commercials just to find where you left off in a movie? Pretty clumsy. Definitely second rate. Not worth giving up your cable DVR.
  • Closed Captioning Problem

When using the Digital AV Adapter by Apple to display media on an HDMI device, the Closed Captioning appears on the iPhone instead of the HDMI device. Other apps (e.g. ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox Now, NBC, SlingTV, SNL, TubiTV, YouTube [yes, their own non-TV app]) get this right, but YouTube TV’s support team says it is Apple’s issue. (They totally blew me off when I brought to their attention!) For someone that needs Closed Captioning, this is a show stopper. UPDATE: A second support member on “The YouTube TV Team” has contacted me that the Apple AV Adapter is not supported. The captions are there, just on the wrong screen and ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox Now, NBC, SlingTV, SNL and TubiTV all display the captions correctly on the correct device. They don’t seem to even want to check with their programmers about it.

Feels good to watch the shows and sports I always have without sending money to the big cable companies.

Very happy so far. Seems to disconnect from internet once or twice a day. Occasional poor redemption. Well satisfied with the selection of channels it offers all we need.
