Carbon - B&W Photo Editor App Reviews

  • Do not purchase

I selected a 3.99 purchase and was charged 21.00 I will change my review if they refund me.
  • Developer needs to fix the app

    By wrangler95
App is ok but the Developer needs to fix the app, about once a week I get a pop up alert saying the app is on sale “today only” for 75% off, but when you click it brings you to a purchase at a higher price, its never 75% off. The constant false alerts about non existent sales is very annoying.
  • Not going to risk it

Looking over the reviews and saw a couple that said it would save your photos at lower resolution and I’m not to sure if it does or not because my iPhone saves HEIF and the app saves to JPEG. What I can say is it removes all of the EXIF data. I like the app ok but I would like to retain my EXIF data from my iPhone 7. So even if it’s on sale I’ll pass.
  • Good one but....

Nice app with interesting filters, however, it is not useful for me because the export/save reduces the quality of the image. -2 stars because of the export/save quality
  • Phenomenal App

Carbon is an amazing app! I’ve been looking for B & W filters and Carbon provides an array for all types of photos. I’ve received many compliments when I’ve used the app and pictures I’ve posted. Also, when I got a new phone, I couldn’t find where to restore one of the photo packs I purchased. Ritvik responded to my email right away which I honestly never expected would happen! A bonus when I purchased my B & W filter pack, Ritvik provided some nice photo tutorials! This app is A+++++!

I went to buy one filter pack and it clearly said 3.99 it then asked me if I wanted to buy another filter pack for 3.99 afterwards and it charged me for all of them!! Insanely mad. Do not download.
  • Don’t waste your money

I don’t expect much from apps- but for the price it cost to unlock all the features- DONT DO IT. Your iPhone can edit everything basically the same. If you want a good quality editing app- buy quickshot enlighten-plus they have more Payment options (3.99 a month-cancel if you don’t like it-so you don’t waste a 20-30 on a crappy app).
  • A slick advert

App still closes without warning. Very irritating to use- moves to in-app purchases with almost every touch , despite being visually stylish, offers less than photoshop express. This app is designed purely to have you purchase additional features
  • Crashed on first use

    By Scarfandgloves
A black and white app, I'd have thought would provide per color channel manipulation of saturation. This seems like a no brainer. I want to do things like darken or brighten only the blue channel to make dramatic skies, Etc. Otherwise it's a great collection of filters and a photoeditor with the typical adjustments, that happens to also crash it seems. The progressive vignette adjustment is the best I have seen in a phone app. So that's a positive. Not being able to opt out of push and then the initial crash is disappointing.
  • Waste of money!

Don’t fall for the hype reviews! This is such a waste of $20 bucks!
